I bought a 32" LCD Vizio TV a couple years ago and I love it! I needed a new TV for my living room and thought about buying a different brand of TV but honestly, I don't know why that ever crossed my mind. The 32" is the only other flat screen TV I've owned until I bought this 42" today. It's fantastic!! The picture is amazing, set up could not be easier. And it's the perfect size. I was wanting a 47", and this 42" looked so much smaller in the store than it does in my apartment. The 47" would have been ridiculous. Everything about this TV fits for me including the price. My only complaints with it so far are I was expecting one of their remotes with the keyboard on the back. Maybe they had issues with those remotes, but I kind of wanted that and just assumed it would come with this TV b/c it's a Smart TV. And I set up my Wifi when I started the TV but I don't need it on all the time and I haven't figured out how to turn the Wifi off and then only turn it on when I need it. I haven't researched too much on that though so maybe it is possible. Anyway, it is an excellent TV and I'm not sure why I would ever buy anything other than Vizio again. Love their products!!!

After much research, I purchased the Vizio E-Series. I simply wanted a 1080p with 120hz refresh rate, the apps were just an added bonus. The set up was very simple, switching between and customizing picture settings. I am usually not satisfied with purchases, especially when looking for a bargin... This product has by far exceeded my expectation for the price. My only hope is that the tv lasts with no issues. My hope in the future would to see a key board compatible with the TV. It would make searching in apps much easier. Also, more functionality in YOUTUBE would be amazing. Unless I have not just figured it out yet, it would be nice to be able to move to a middle of a video instead of fast forwarding. In short, I would recommend this tv for anyone, especially those on a budget, definitely best bang for the buck.

Honestly one of the best electronic purchases we've made together. My wife and I set it up this evening and it's be a super simple install. Overall very pleased with the color and contrast of the display. Super product for a very reasonable price, when compared to the BIG name brands. Keep up the excellent quality of product. Kudos.

We ordered this TV on line at 7 PM after checking out specs on numerous TV's & Brands & it was ready for pick up at our local Walmart store by 8:30 the next morning. Took less then 10 minutes to set up TV & plug in CD player. We only have a cheap $35.00 antenna & not cable, but we have over 60 channels available to us & "eye popping" color.
This is our second Visio TV & we were impressed with the color & pictures of our previous purchase several years ago, but the picture & colors on this TV is incredible.
The picture is visible & very clear even up close to the right or left of the TV, adjusts to ambient light automatically, & the very narrow outside frame allowed us to buy a larger screen TV for our older TV cabinet.
It gives a big screen experience at a very low cost.

I am big in tech and also a gamer so I usually try to keep up with some of the latest in technology so I buy up to date things about every 5 or six years, and buying this TV was barely even a question since me and my family has had such good history with Vizio products. I replaced this TV with an older 32 inch Vizio I had for 5 years and still workds fantastically. I bought this TV as it was the next big step up for me, with apps, WiFi, 1080p, etc, this TV is so maxed out, and for only $498 at my local Walmart! So the price shocked me, it is a really awesome deal for everything that comes with the TV.
So the TV is very streamlines, the apps are great and there is even an app store that promises great expansion in the future and the TV updates itself which means that Vizio will (hopefully) keep it up with the times if they even update the UI in the future for their TV's. You also have so many settings to mess around with and perfect the TV to your tastes, and all of the individual settings are saved to each individual input so they don't interfere with other input settings (HDMI 1 picture settings won't mess with TV/Cable picture settings, like older Vizio TV's). Some people may not care for this, but I love it. I connect my computer to the TV and I can finally adjust the screen size and orientation! (my old Vizio didn't have these settings and the display was off center).
Also, the slim frame design is very beautiful, and as it may sound like some BS marketing ploy to say that a larger sized television may fit in some entertainment centers it is actually true in my case! Without the slim frame design, I would have had to get a 37 inch TV instead of 42 inches to put on the shelf, nicely done Vizio!
The only complaint I have is an issue Vizio has had for a very long time, and it's their very ugly, dark, un-vivid colors that come default with their TV. See, their televisions very well have the OPTIONS and CAPABILITIES to have beautiful, bright colorful picture but they aren't that way in default. I would really advise people to go to picture settings > more > advanced picture and turn "smart dimming" and "ambient light sensor" OFF which makes your display beautiful and bright and then turn "color enhancement" to rich color and "adaptive luma" to strong and you already have a much more beautiful picture that Vizio for whatever reason hides by default. Beyond that, I went and messed around with color temperature settings and brightness, contrast, color, blacklight settings to get a much more beautiful picture.
Either way, after an hour or two of perfecting the picture settings for myself, I am now so impressed with this TV and think that it is perfect, right on Vizio! Just get better default picture settings that show off your television's capabilities!! =)(Posted on 1/11/13)

Being an information technology engineer & guru I was amazed at the quality of this product. I purchased the Vivio E Series 42" model & to have all these fearures (120hz SPS refresh rate, true LED 1080p display, built in WiFi & internet apps including Hulu Plus & Netflix, etc.,) for the price of only $498...I just couldn't believe it. Well believe it because it truly was more than I expected for this price. I couldn't be happier with it & the quality is just stunning no matter if I connect it to my Xbox 360, cable, satellite, or even just an old regular digital antenna...it really surprised me on all levels. I would recommend this TV to anyone I know. Plus the razor slim edge makes it appear to have a bigger screen than it actually does & also is very sleek & modern. It is truly amazing & does everything it claims to do plus some! I love it!!

I bought this to replace a 3 to 4 year old 32" Samsung LCD HDTV currently in my living room. I've read a lot of reviews on different websites and wondered if I would actually get a decent television for the price, since Vizio is generally less expensive than other brands. I can honestly say that I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase! My cable company's HD service looks great displayed on this TV and it also works quite well with my Playstation 3. The picture quality is amazing. The built in NetFlix and VUDU is also very convenient and easy to use. My only complaint is that the tv' stand seems flimsy even after tightening down the screws until they are snug. I doubt this will be a problem though, since I don't have any small children running around.

I made this purchase at Walmart a few days before Christmas. I had no clue as to what TV I was going to buy or if i was going to buy one at all before going in the store. This gentlemen was looking at the display model and i asked him if he just bought one. He did and was just waiting for it. After looking at it after a while and comparing to the others, I believe it was the best deal for that size range. And along with it being an led smart TV at a 120 refresh rate was a plus.
Setup was easy. Xbox, Netflix, and YouTube looks excellent on there. I would recommend this TV for sure!(Posted on 1/2/13)

I've owned mine for about a year now and I'm still amazed at how great it runs and how easy it is to run it.That's saying a lot cause I'm a 65 y.o. grandmother who is computer illiterate.I have mine hooked up to my computer modem and a router. To see how all the features work, print out the manuel from the web site. Again, GREAT product.

I like my new TV, but the camera required to use with Skype is quite expensive. The picture is great. The apps. are wonderful. One thing, I can not find a way to use the remote with my older components. So, again I have to use serveral remotes when I want to view videos from different medias.

I purchased this tv as a family gift for my wife's sister's family (they have a houshold of nine, one easy family gift for Christmas). I personally have two Samsung LCDs and I was quite pleased with both until I saw the Vizio's diaplay. I can tell you that my next purchase will be a 55" or the 60" Vizio E series.
The internet apps work well but the picture is amazing (recommend the 'vivid' setting.); the 120Hz refresh makes the picture appear live; and the price is incredible.(Posted on 11/23/12)

The reviews I read on this T.V. helped me in the decission to purchase it & everything they have said is true. It was very, very easy to set up. No technical verbiage. Set up had direct questions you answered. Next thing I know the T.V. has a picture. WOW!
