I just purchased the Vizio VHT510 and feel it is the bargin in home audio today. I have two high end $$$ home theater systems while this does not rival it, it is a fraction of the price of those systems. Very easy to set up, took about 5 minutes. It replaced me Boston Acoustics Tee Vee sound bar with wireless sub and the Vizio blows it away. I think the rear speakers set it apart from other sound bar systems. I could not be happier.

We recommend this to anyone who wants to improve and enhance their listening and watching pleasure on their television. Easy to hook up and set the speakers to where we want the emphasis...you can't go wrong and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg like Bose! Take a chance on this and you won't be disappointed!

Worth The Investment Review by Jon

Read a lot of the reviews and had concerns about the older versions of this product that had the LED readout problems. Contacted Vizio customer support and discussed it with them. I was told the current product on the shelf had the problem resolved and I should feel confident in making the purchase. Made the purchase and am very happy I did. This really adds value to my new Vizio LED TV and makes the entire package worth it. Love the sound!! Easy set up. I recommend purchasing the optical cord which produces full rich sound. Why use older technology when the optical cord keeps the tv and surround system performing to their full potential?
If I have any complaint at all, I'd say it wouldn't hurt to include the cord.
So far, I love the LED 42 inch TV and the this sound system really completes the package.

Wonderfully Wireless Review by iamchris

It produces wonderful sound and not having to run wires all over the room as I did with "Home Entertainment Sets" is the absolute best. I'm extremely satisfied with my 57" Vizio TV and the Vizio sound bar with wireless bass and side/back speakers. I will eventually buy one for the 47" bedroom TV. I just ordered the Vizio Blu-Ray player with wireless internet connection and hope I'll be just as satisfied.

I did buy this system to replace some old Sony SAVA's and was completely blown away....have had the system almost a year now, and unfortunately, the LED's just stopped working....was I lucky to have had them worked for so long ? Jajajajajaja....anyway, other than that, great sounding system...I was considering buying a BOSE system, but oh well, I'll save the money, they are over-priced ! Thank's VIZIO.....!

I replaced my Bose $1000.00 system with the Vizio VHT510 very reluctantly ofcourse. The VHT510 put my Bose system to shame, it has a crispier sound, a better Surround sound separation than the Bose by far. Trust me you will be very impress with the VHT510. I am in love with the Vizio products, I owned 5 Vizio Tvs, The Vizio 3D DVD Player, Vizio Universal remote, Vizio Cables and shortly I will be buying the Vizio 3D TV. I am very impress with the quality of their products. Thank you Vizio!

Great sound, could use some additional hardware Review by Jim

I bought this unit with a Vizio 55" TV. The entire system is awesome! Easy hook up. Definately go with the digital optical input from the T.V. (not included but inexpensive from Best Buy). I wall mounted the sound bar and could have used some additional hardware. You'd think for $318.00 (Wal-Mart) they would include a couple of lag bolts and/or hollow wall anchors with the proper size screw heads. A paper template for correct drill spacing would have been a big help. Just make sure you measure twice and then measure again before you drill. No complaints with the system, I have the subwoofer under an end table and had the sound cranked up...my tea glass started bouncing across the table! Awesome system for digital dolby. Sound really fills the room. I'm very happy with my entire Vizio system (TV, Blu-ray player, wall mount and sound bar) Definately recommend this system. Looks very elegant even with the couple of extra drill holes in the wall (spackle is cheap too 8-)

All You Need Review by JB

Lately I changed my whole bedroom into Vizio products, 47" 3D TV, Now added this Sound Bar. No need to go out and buy a receiver, this Sound Bar System SOUNDS GREAT. I purchased two Speaker Stands and set this up and it ROCKS my bedroom.
I don't know if this is good or not, but the last 3 nights I been home downloading Movies from Vudu, when I should be out. But I'm enjoying all my new Vizio products.

Great system especially for the price. I've had the system for about a week now and so far no LED issues as mentioned above. This system is comparable with my old system but cost way less. I think I paid this price for just my receiver. I give it a 10 out of 10 and would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for quality sound on a budget. The only issue I had was registering the product. My email address wouldn’t take for some reason.

Family member has two Vizio tvs so when it was time to upgrade I bought the XVT473SV. Couldn't be happier with it, Then I bought the VHT 510 as a gift and it was a huge hit, easy to install and better quality than could be expected for the price so I bought one for myself. Neither one of us has had trouble with LEDs so far. If you havent done it so far buy a digital optical cord and run everything through the tv especially if you have a newer Vizio. Enjoy!

Followup on sound bar volumn lighs not working. Tried the unplug power and hold the power button down for 45 seconds, then plug power back in. That didn't fix problem. Called Vizio tech support. They are sending one out to replace mine. Tech support was good. thanks Vizio.

Remote control on/off Review by Pooh Bear

I purchase the VHT510 SOUND SYSTEM to compliment my new Visio M550NV Razor LED. The set up was easy and the sound is fantastic. My only concern is that the on/off switch on the TV remote will not synch with the soundbar. The volume adjustment on the TV remote will synch with the soundbar, but not the on/off. Even a call to tech support was fruitless. I'm running a cable box off the devise power button and I 'm concerned that a Vizio sound system will not synch to a Visio TV.
Except for this minor setback, I'm very satisfied with the system and would highly recommend it.

This is the best sound system I have ever owned! I replaced my old surround sound system with this because of space limitations. I used to think my old sound system sounded great, and it cost me a small fortune. Was I ever wrong!!

After about two weeks of owning this system, I, like others reviewing this product, lost my volume lights. I quickly opened a chat session on this sites support section, and they had me back up and running in 3 minutes! I'll explain:

Unplug the power to the sound bar. push and hold down the power button on the sound bar for at least 30 seconds. Release the power button and plug the sound bar back in. Turn on the sound bar. you should now have your volume lights back.

I give this system a 9 out of ten rating!!

I also have problem with the sound bar lights. Received sound bar 5.1 wireless woofer for christmas gift. Hook it up Sounds great. The nhad issue with sound bar volume lights not working. Then they started working again. Just this past weekend lights failed again. As soon as I can get in touch with support I'll report back. Thought turning it on and off would fix issue, no luck.

First I bought the VHT510 soundbar and I was extremely surprised and happy with my purchase. Very good audio quality and sound effects. I went out and purchased the Vizio VL470M 47 Inch LCD HDTV and this soundbar even sounds better now with this HDTV. I was impressed. Purchased the Vizio XWR100 Wireless Internet Router and am in the process of hooking this item up to the HDTV now. Vizio is the only product I buy now for all my electronic solutions.

Incredable sound! I bought the system not knowing that the rear speakers are viturally wireless. The right and left rear speakers connect to the subwoofer and not to the front sound bar. After getting the system and dicovering this feature, I re-read the overview. It's in there but I think that you should emphise it more. It's a great selling point.

Sound bar contol lights don't work Review by Vizio VHT510 Review

Sound bar contol lights work one day and the next day they don't. It is tough to center balance Left to Right when there is no visual lights. You must balance by ear kinda tough.

Excellent Bass tones and Treble tones in all ranges, easy setup, for the low price.

If the control lights would work, this would be a rating of 9. Rating scale from 1 being worst to 10 being Best.

I bought mine about a week ago, love it have not had any problems with the lights. I thought it was just gonna be a little sound till I can afford a bigger system, but to my surprise when I hooked it up WOW!!! it sounded awesome. About the only thing I would change is make the back speakers wireless from the sub woofer!

The sound is great. The wireless sub woofer with the back speakers are awesome. The down side is, the sound bar control lights go out after using it for a day or two. I sent the first one back and got another one and it is the same way. So I will replace this one and hopefully Vizio will get this fixed eventually.

This is a surprisingly good system, well worth the price. With the purchase of some cheap shelving hardware, I have the bar mounted below my flat screen (also a Vizio) attached using the bolt holes freed up from removing the flt screen stand.

Great system that gives a theater experience at home. Even 23 year old son was impressed. The only improvement I can think of is make the rear two satellite speakers wireless and not wired to the sub woofer. System really does make a huge difference in home viewing in a "package" that's a plus to look of entertainment center.

This sound bar is an excellent piece of work. I only wish that I can find the two speakers with the subwoffer without buying another soundbar. I have the soundbar alone and I did not think that it would blast so loudly with clear sound. I would recommend this product to anyone that wants theater sound at home. The sound bar is enough but you will wish you had the 5.1 as I do. Excellent piece of work

I have now had this for just over a week. Supper easy set up using fiber optic cable. Took about 10 min to hook up and sub/rear speakers are just as easy. I have not had any problems with the LED's as others have stated. the sound is quite good. the only draw back is that the sound bar is not compatible with the Verizon FIOS remote control. I have to use the little Vizio remote but not a huge draw back. Maybe FIOS will update there remotes soon and add the new code. I also have the sterio reciever hooked up to the other input. Overall totaly happy with this system!

I love this system. I have a $1500 system in our front room, and thought I was really down-sizing with this one. I turned it on and wow, was I surprised. We put it in our new 600 sq. ft. game room and it filled the room beautifully. The sound is great and the look is expensive. Nothing but good reviews from me!

Sexy looking sound bar Review by William

Not only does the sound bar sound fantastic, it looks awesome as well. I had a problem with my remote where it wouldn't turn the treble down, only turned it up, but customer service was outstanding and replaced the remote for me. The satellite speakers hook up to the wireless sub woofer, and you don't have independent control of the satellite speakers, but they still sound great. I have to say I was a little skeptical of the power the sub would have, but it has a very nice bass and hits pretty hard. I replaced 2 hideous, huge tower speakers with this nice sleek sound bar and couldn't be happier with the sound. My previous system was a 7 yr old Pioneer receiver, 10" KLH sub, 2 Sony Xplode tower speakers with 12" subs, 6" mid and 2" tweeter, with Pioneer center and satellite speakers. The main reason for the change was how old the receive was and the KLH has a loose board in it and stopped working.
