Great tech support !!! Review by Mike

We have had a Blu-Ray player for a few month's and it began to not load. I called tech support and they really went the extra mile to insure that the problem was resolved and that we could continue to enjoy our Blu-Ray player. In this day of disposable everything, take the easy way out and just plain in-competence at times it was VERY refreshing to deal with someone who will take the time and go the "extra mile" to help a customer (now a very loyal customer) resolve a problem. KUDO'S VIZEO!!!

Cool -- No Blockbuster Anymore Review by SteveBab

Good device. The Blockbuster App is gone after Blockbuster fizzed, but the other stuff is cool.

Good deal for the price Review by LarryW60

Easy to hook-up and set-up. Don't care about the apps, but the player is just what I expected from Vizio...great!! The digitial audio (toslink)...exceptional.

    Great Product Review by TrentStarz

I bought this product yesterday and i am very pleased with the picture and sound quality. The only problem is that sometimes while watching a movie the screen flickers and the video slows and flashes weird pictures of things. Other than the BluRay being possessed by demonic spirits, the VBR120 is very very much worth the money. Buy Now!

    Overall ok Review by Prophet

System requires update and won' t do it. Needs to be reset or power cycled regularly. But, on the upside has nice picture and sound for the dollar.

great but needing update? Review by jpeterson31

We bought ours for $88 at Walmart. Love it but wishing it played HuluPlus. hopefully soon?

    Hulu Plus?? Review by mudmansgal

Just bought Hulu Plus because it listed Vizio as a supported device...hope its just a matter of time. Not going to pay blockbuster's outrageous prices, Netfix works great but limits us to 2 devices running it at one time. Love the fact I can watch on Hulu today what folks paying huge cable or satellite bills watched just last night =) Now if we could just get it up on the 52" with our Vizio..... Anxiously awaiting an update!

Great Box with a quirk Review by stepco

Great investment, great Optical Audio, nice options, havn't tried BlueRay yet.

Found an interesting quirk, My system consists of a 4 x 2 HDMI Matrix Switch and the dvd player is #3 input. When working on menus and the need for th edown arrow occurs and you press he down arrow, the 4 x 2 matrix switch changes inputs on the #2 output,. It is an infrared issue.

Not a big problem now that I know what caused it to switch.

    some difficulty Review by hubcap

After Power down unit appears to require some warm-up time to power on(whether by remote or manual buttons on unit face). Remote is cumbersome and lacks touch sensitivity of most remotes. The buttons are hard to push. For the money its hard to beat.
Overall it is quite satisfactory. I could care less about the internet apps. Would still be better if wi-fi capable. Play back through my Visio 26" is great, especially since I use a Pioneer A/V processor that will upscale to HDMI 1080P with a multitude of surround modes + bluetooth interface and wi-fi capability

VBR120 BRD Player Review by brownbear

So far I haven't had any trouble installing or using the bd player. The price was great and I had no great expectation other than it working correctly. I would suggest in the next version you guys/gals at Vizio make it where you can add other channels. Great machine so far. Just bought it today.

Could be great Review by spenje

This could be a great device, it does a lot and was only $88 at Wal-mart, but...can't always get it to turn off, usually takes multiple tries to get the tray to open, and the remote is so clunky (buttons are hard to push) that I'm surprised it didn't come with a wire connecting it to the box! I would rate it 3 out of 5.

Excellent BD Player at affordable price Review by yugten

I got this from Walmart at $88 and it serves me well. Updated the firmware twice. What can I say except I am waiting for them to include Amazon in the menu.

Hey guys I'll be waiting for the next firmware update for Amazon!!!!

This is quality on the cheap! Review by mplsbill

I went through 4 much more expensive blu-ray players before I found this one at walmart for $80.00, I couldn't be happier with it! I've updated the firmware twice in the 6 months I've had it, only to be surprised at more internet applications like blockbuster which now streams like netflix, vudu, twitter, facebook, etc. all for that $88.00! I have it hooked up to my network so I'm able to do much more than I ever dreamed of being able to do! I'd have to say this was the best, most worthwhile audio/video purchase I've made in 10 years and possibly in my life! GET THIS BD PLAYER, YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!!

Great Player, Even With Small Problems Review by Kawaistiyowa

Got this player last year and really like it. Looks great on my 38" LCD. I would recommend it to others. However, there are a few small problems.

    1) Don't like the buttons on the remote. You really have to press them to work.
    2) It will sometimes freeze when I play a video from a USB drive.
    3) The main problem. Sometimes the player won't come on when I press the power button. I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it going.

But all in all I'd give it a 4/5.

    Good Review by Oldbitcollector

I bought one of these and ran into the exact same issues that many have had with Netflix, however, instead of whining about it, I found the one button shortcut (green button) to update the unit in the instructions. (RTFM) -- After an update, everything was fixed and ready to go. The only fault I've found is that VIZIO could save themselves a LOT of grief by adding an auto-update at power-up feature for people who are unable to read.

    love it Review by judge

I wasn't expecting much for 88.00 at Walmart but I had purchased 2 other brands before this one that I ended up taking back. I was pleasantly surprised. Easy to hook up and use. Did have to download a firmware update before the video portion would work but that was easy also. I have a Vizio flatscreen TV and love it also.

Excellent peice, good quality Review by pgrow

I bought this bd player at walmart for 88 dollars. I was amazed at the clear crisp picture and sound. It was easy to install and set up. Lots of great features too. The only problem I had with it is that there was no picture after updateing the firmware on the device. I have the bd player for about 2 weeks and had the picture problem 2 times. But all I have to do is unplug it for 10 secands and it works fine. All in all this bd player is the best bang for your buck, dont hesitate to buy one!!! by the way my friend bought a Sony for 138.00 and its not as good as my vizio bd player.

    CHEAP Review by 2008SCOOBY

I JUST WANTED TO SAY I DON'T NORMALLY DO THESE REVIEWS BUT
ALL I CAN SAY, THIS IS ONE CHEAP PLAYER, I BOUGHT THIS FOR 88.00 BUCKS
AT WALMART. IT PLAYS GREAT ON MY 42 " PLASMA, I GOT A PHILLIPS AMBIENT LIGHT TV. WITH A SONY 7.1SOUND SYSTEM AND I WILL TELL YOU I DID NOT WANT TO PUT A VIZIO IN MY ENTERTAINMENT CASE WITH ALL MY HIGH END SYSTEM BUT WHEN I PUT IT THROUGH THE TEST IT STOOD STRAIGHT AND HELD IT'S GROUND.
NOW I PROUDLY DISPLAY THIS RIGHT ALONG SIDE THE OTHER PARTS OF THE SYSTEM WHERE IT BELONGS. SO IF YOU ARE AS PICKY AS I AM GO AHEAD BUY THAT VIZIO FOR 88 OR 100 BUCKS YOU WON'T DO BETTER EVEN AT TWICE THE PRICE I KNOW THIS LITTLE PLAYER PUT ME IN MY PLACE.
    PS
IN MY PLACE RIGHT IN MY SPECIAL CHAIR, LOL

Outstanding BD Player Review by bkienow

Excellent quality BD player. Love all the internet apps. However; I have Netflix, and I cannot get it to work on my TV yet? I have a wireless Belkin tower and it says everything is okay on the screen on the TV but I still cant get it to play a movie to this day. I love my Netflix, it plays perfectly on my computer, it just won't play on my TV. Can anyone help me?

I Love It! Review by Rose

I had a magnovox blue ray and it was very difficult to install and use. I was also tole that it would do Netflicks and it would not. Walmart took it back and I bought the Vizio for $30.00 less! The installation was SIMPLE! I could do it. It is simple to use and work! Although I wish there was a more in depth instruction booklet. I am using it with my Vizio 47 inch HDTV and it is great. The picture is even better than the other blue ray player. This one does do Netflicks and much more. I an very pleased with the purchase. I wish I had gotten this on the first time! Now I am thinking about a sound bar hummmm!

Good, I Guess. Review by Jon

All and all I can't complain that much. Though opening and/or closing the tray takes a couple of attempts to make happen. Additionally, about once a week there is a problem with Netflix. Sometimes the image gets horribly distorted and the player needs to be reset, other times it refuses to display the images. Though when it does work it looks beautiful and plays every disc I've put in it without error.

Vizio iz Great Review by Keven

I just recently purchased the Vizio BD player and think it has amazing quality. Sound, picture, and user friendly. It goes so well with my Vizio HD tv. I also purchased the HDMI cables by Vizio and the universal remote in which are also high quality. Keep kickin' butt Vizio.

    sweet Review by compton

I just bought this bd player after buying a lg on black friday not knowing i had to buy a wireless lan adapter for the lg to work so i quikly returned it and picked up one of the few magnavox bd players they had left and used it for a week. was disapointed in the quality and lacke of things for it and the remote responded very porly so i took it back a week after black friday and picked this up. Its not wireless but i decided to move my home network to my living room and used it that way instead. this is way worth the 90$ i spent at the local newark, ohio walmart. i was gonna get the wireless model but it seemed a little oversized just for wireless so i stuck with this here and i love it already.

would recomend this to other friends family and anyone else asking to buy one yes its nice to see a lg, samsung, sony or other top named brand in your living room but vizio is becoming if not already the most popular brand around. with low pricess for new technology and better offers than sony or others why not i have a ln46c600f3f samsung 120hz lcd tv and it all works great together and looks great.

thanks vizio for making such great products keep up the good work just remember your customers and keep us your number one and you`ll remain ours.

About 1 month Review by Kristin

I purchased the Vizio vbr120 and it was wonderful for the first month or so. I installed 1 firmware update when prompted, and after that, it will SOMETIMES play DVDs or Blu-rays, and any time we try to play Netflix or Pandora the player just shuts itself off. A huge waste of $130 considering that we bought it primarily for Netflix usage.

    Features Review by Rich

Very happy with the quality and look. While you can play content from NetFlix, VuDu, etc, I am disappointed that I can not play original content stored on my computer via the network connection, such as Mpeg2, MP4 and MOV files. Those must be "burned" then played.

THE Best Value Review by SpectreWriter

Nothing else provides a blu-ray at $100, let alone with all of the features and apps, the Internet integration with Picasso, Netflix, Facebook, Vudu, Pandora and the rest. A steal!

I bought the LG 42" 520 model and it works well with this, but I may just go ahead and return it for the Visio, as they're doing so much so good with this BD player.

It is a Great Buy for a Blu-ray player Review by Ty

At first I saw a lot of players that were over price and then I saw this model. I had some questions and I called the Vizio help line and asked my questions. One question I had was can I update the widgets on this blu-ray player. I was told yes but later found out that I have to wait for an update and I do not get to choose the widgets. That might be the only down side to the player. But the quality it puts out is out standing also small for tight spaces. Full HD at the price of a stander DVD about 5 years ago of course. Well worth the money and recommend to buy.
