I've had this tv for about 4 years now and it hasn't had any issues or problems. Not to say not having issues makes it a great tv, it has great quality to it aswell. The 1080i is a good have but if you have a device that outputs 1080p like mine does ( i.e. 1080p upconverting dvd players can do this ) than your channel with that device will be in 1080p, so i still watch 1080p movies and such. It's just a solid tv that has been tough through the years, and still outputs great picture for my room.
