- WOW!!! Awesome, I keep saying "wow look at the screen, it's awesome!!!" Review by Tim in Kauai

WOW what a TV and what a deal.
$589 at Costco and worth every penny. Had the TV about two weeks now and it's our first flat screen. We keep saying "look how thin it is." The picture clarity is unbelievable, seriously unbelievable.
Couldn't be easier to set up. We were literally watching Netflix in less than 10 minutes after opening the box. It's weird to have the only wire coming out of the TV as the power cord and one HDMI cord for dvd's, two cords total = awesome. We've watched several movies now on blue-ray and Netflix and I can barely even tell the difference in quality between the two. The Netflix streaming is as clear as a DVD and close to blue-ray. There is one weird thing with Netflix, for about the first 5 - 10 seconds when you start the movie it's blurry but it clears up and keeps an unbelievable picture throughout the movie.
Killer deal, and outstanding TV. Also, the full keyboard on the remote is awesome for searching movies on Netflix and signing into the Apps.(Posted on 4/6/13)
- Excellent value and superb picture Review by Joey

We just picked this up at Costco for a ridiculously low price after our 42" Panasonic plasma died. I was looking for the 50" model but they were out of stock. Saved $50 by going with the 47 instead and it took me about 30 minutes to set it up, get on our wifi, and scan our over the air hd channels. My wife and I are blown away by the picture quality right out of the box. I haven't calibrated it yet, but even factory it looks very good. I have played around with some of the apps and did a very quick system update on wifi that took about 10 minutes. It must have been for the Internet apps only as the tv did not require a reboot afterwards. The keyboard on the remote makes setup and entering passwords actually quite easy, at least compared to a normal remote.
So far I have to say I am pleasantly surprised with the build quality and especially the picture quality of this tv. I was afraid any lcd or led tv would be a downgrade compared to my plasma but this looks as good or better than it. The picture is bright in full living room light and I can't wait until the weekend so I can see how it looks with sun coming in through our living room windows. That was always a low point of the plasma and this set seems bright enough that it may no longer be an issue with glare any longer. Great job Vizio on producing such a fantastic looking set and with the wifi n and start tv apps it is just icing on the cake. I look forward to seeing what new apps become available down the road, and for now we are extremely happy with our purchase.(Posted on 12/7/12)
- New TV Review by John G

Bought this TV from WalMart and I'm really impressed on the picture quality and how easy it was to set up. So far everything is perfect. I do agree with the other replies that the remote buttons for the internet are really small and hard to see in dim light.
Other than that I give this TV a big thumbs up.(Posted on 10/8/12)
- VIZIO M470SL BE$T LED value Review by MMA DON
-
Had this LED TV for over a week and I am impressed. I have watched Football games, UFC fights, HBO, TV shows and the picture quality is awesome and the sound is very good for a flat panel set. The Wifi works perfectly and I have listened to the Pandora app. This is my 1st Vizio and I would highly recommend it, excellent quality and value. Its nice that Vizo has Customer Service in the US too.
Pros: Great LED picture. Quality and value can't be beat.
Cons: Remote buttons are small

- Great TV, Eager for Co-Star Release Review by Evan
-
Easy set-up. Amazing video. Audio is OK but anyone in the market for a Smart TV with this kind of capability should expect to use it with an external audio source anyway. That presents no difficulties with so many connectivity options. My one complaint is that it isn't bluetooth-ready, but that makes little practical difference. Three cheers for Vizio for producing the Co-Star. I can't wait to get Google TV with access to Play and a respectable browser. This will tie together my system of Droid devices perfectly, which was the deciding factor in going with Vizio. I am confident that Vizio will succeed where Logitech so miserably failed. Nail it, guys!

- Excellent Quality, Excellent Price Review by JDC

I was looking at upgrading my 26" Sony TV to a much larger one, and had been looking at Samsung 40" HDTVs. The one I had decided on was more expensive than this 47" Vizio that I purchased. The quality of this TV blows me away every time I turn it on. You cannot beat the quality and the price combination of this TV. 10/0 would recommend to a friend!

Have had the TV a couple of weeks and it's working beautifully. Very glad i bought it. Love the Internet Apps - plays Netflix much better than my Blu-ray player does. Only complaint is the remote - very small closely spaced buttons that are impossible to see in a dimly lit room.

- Loving my new Vizio Review by Jags

I was looking for 40 inch LED TV with 120 HZ above 1M contrast ration. After going through couple of other brands, I was impressed with the technical aspects of a 47 inch vizio tv. Picture is crystal clear.
Pros: Wi-fi, Pre-loaded vizio Apps, Querty key pad easy to type in unlike other remotes.
Cons: None So far.
I will update more with the usage.(Posted on 5/14/12)
