Easily Beats Out More Expensive Remotes Review by Rampco

This remote has many outstanding features, i.e. price, controls up to 8 devices, learning capability, design (smart looking and realistic), button layout (buttons are easily distinguishable and not cramped), size (not to big, not to small), white LED backlighting (makes for easy button identification), Vizio button (works great with my Vizio 3D TV which is another awesome best bang for the buck Vizio product), uses AA batteries, etc..

The one feature that I like the most (and makes this remote worth getting) is this remote's awesome leaning capabilities. Of the 8 devices that I have set it up to control, I had to use it's learning capability to program the buttons for 5 of them. Even though Vizio provides many codes for many different devices, some of them will not work so do not be disappointed because it does not take that much time or effort to program the remote through it's learning function (from the remotes of those devices that the code programing does not work).

I was able to program through it's learning function all of the buttons that I needed to for the 5 devices except for certain buttons on my Surround Sound Receiver . My receiver's remote has a multitude of buttons that control numerous receiver functions (a complicated remote to begin with). I was able to set up the Vizio remote to control the receiver's power, volume, tuning (seek and scan), input selection but for some reason not the surround sound and menu buttons even though the Vizio remote learned these buttons but the receiver would not recognize them from the Vizio remote? Still, the Vizio remote controls the receiver's basic functions so I am happy at least about that.

Great product, works better then what i expected. Review by brian

I got this to replace the 3 remotes I use for various things, one to control my tv, one to control my blu-ray sound system and one to control my att box, with this remote I was able to cut out all three and just use this one, it even has a learning feature when you can learn specific buttons of a remote. For instance my blu-rays Netflix button, now I have a dedicated Netflix button on my Vizio remote. The backlit buttons are very bright and they turn off shortly after you press something, the setup was easy and only took about 15 minutes for everything. I would highly recommend this to anyone trying to get rid of the clutter of multiple remotes.

I JUST GOT IT WORKS GREAT AND I THE BUTTONS THEY LIGHT UP
BECAUSE I NEEDED ONE THAT I SHOULD GOT A LONG TIME GO BECAUSE THE ONE I HAD THE BUTTONS DIDN'T ALL LIGHT UP LIKE THIS ONE DOES

I replaced an older 19 inch Toshiba TV with a Vizio 19 inch LCD. The picrtue is great but it seems smaller to me than the old TV.The difference in the aspect ratio seems to mean a lot. If you are replacing a smaller TV, you might be able to get away with the next size up.I wish I went bigger than the 19.
