Video up to 1280 x 720 pixels is achievable when the following system requirements are met by all participants: (1) HD Capable, compatible VIZIO internet apps HDTV, a PC or other device running Skype along with an HD webcam or HD camera; and (2) A high speed internet connection with minimum, sustained upload and download speeds of 1.5 MBPS. Video quality may be affected by the equipment and many factors including environmental. Where HD capable system requirements are not met by all participants but still sufficient for video transmission, video quality will resolve in standard definition. Not all VIZIO internet apps HDTV’s support HD quality video using Skype.

Everyone says "you're blurry". Looking forward to updated camera to clear that up. Incoming video is excellent, better than on my desktop. Well worth the cost.

The Vizio Internet Apps TV Video Chat Camera (XCV100) was easy to install, the price has come down (now $75.00) from the $99.95 but it was worth the investment. I have SKYPE on my Laptop, Desktop, Android Smartphone and TV. I find myself using the TV more because of the ease of positioning the camera. There is an echo if you have the camera mounted under the TV so you can chat from your bed, but if it is on top of the TV as in the pictures there are no issues. This is one camera I am glad I purchased.

Camera has never quite been in focus since installed. We have had it for a few months and have experimented with light, angle, camera positions, etc. We have finally reached the end. I have no idea who to contact to replace or repair. At this point I believe it was a bad $100.00 investment.

Got my Vizio M370SL a week ago. Set up quick & easy. Love it. Ordered a TV Video Camera and anxiously awaited it's delivery. Came tonight. Set it up and called my daughter. Simple set up, works great. Better video calls than on my computer.

I purchased a Vizio XVT553SV TV in late 2011 and the Vizio XCV100 USB camera a few months later. My tv is connected to the internet via wireless N and is running the latest firmware. I had no problems plugging in the camera and using the Skype app, which I added fom the apps available for the TV. My internet connection is 15 Mb down, 3 Mb up and I'm using a Cisco E4200 wireless router.
Our TV is mounted to the wall opposite our couch and callers have had no trouble hearing us from about 7-8 feet away talking in our normal voices (mostly). We also haven't had any issues with echo or noise, but we live in a pretty quiet neighborhood. I did have some problems initially with the camera picking up a faint electrical hum, but that was resolved by rearranging some of my cabling behind the TV.
Picture qualtiy is fine, but incoming video quality is governed by the remote caller's camera, of course. There could be a bit more functionality built into the camera / tv / app such as a zoom or mic sensitivity control, but it works fine as-is.
All-in-all, I have been happy with the purchase, although the camera is probably a bit overpriced.(Posted on 4/3/12)
