Great In So Many Ways. A Couple Drawbacks Review by MattyJoax

I have gone through a few VIZIO tv's trying to get the right one. I had a few problems with the sound on the E370VA and E470VA, some light bleeding on the m470VT, but Vizio quickly remedied each problem with great haste, finally resulting in an upgrade to this TV. Their customer service has gone way above and beyond to make me happy. This M3D460SR is actually quite impressive. There are so many features that you get one or two of in other TV's, but all jammed into this one. Theater 3D (battery free glasses), 240Hz, 5mil:1 contrast, WIFI, Apps, and the remote is a Bluetooth keyboard that slides out like a cellphone pad. The picture is amazing in 3D with less color setting variations, but in 2D, it seems very difficult to calibrate. There are a LOT of custom settings from Back Light to Contrast, 3 field Color Gain (red/ blue/ green) , Color Offsets, Color Enhancements, Smooth Motion, Cinema Motion, Noise Reduction, Smart Dimming, Adaptive Luma, Ambient Light Sensor, and more. I have found this very hard to get a perfect color setting that works on multiple channels on my HD cable. I found that my last VIZIO, which was the M470VT had a much better picture or maybe just easier settings, but the speakers on the VT were like an AM radio. The speakers on the M3D460SR are GREAT! This TV has a glossy LCD panel, and is highly reflective, so watch out for windows and lamps. Contrast is AMAZINGLY black and pure white. No TV is perfect, and each set you buy will have some gives and takes, but this TV for the price is a steal, and if there are any serious problems, VIZIO will come to your aid quickly and with a smile.
OVERALL, I THINK THIS IS THE BEST TV YOU CAN POSSIBLY GET FOR $1,000.

The TV is great with all its features and the 3D is spectacular. The only problem I've had is with the HDMI ports. They had to change the board because of the HDMI ports failing, but I know it has to be thse cases were you have a lemon out of gazillion units. The support staff is excellent and they got me straight.

Not so happy Review by Katie

I bought this tv and within one week the LED back light went out and we had to turn off and on the tv to watch it as it would go black about every 20 min. I 'm sitting all the Holiday Season with this situation waiting for this to be replaced. I'm hoping this is a one time problem and the next tv ,when it finally gets here, will be a good one!!! The support team was pleasant and helpful and you could understand every word they said which is more than most.

Multipurpose High Quality 3D HDTVwith Int Apps Review by John

Very nice Theater 3D HDTV with Internet Apps. Has large quantiy of internet apps.
and a excellent remote with a slideout keyboard and eveything works very well.

I haven't found a way to use Skype on it yet. Even with an expensive Panasonic 3D blu rayi player with Skype, I can't find a solution for using Skype.

Would like to find out if there is some way to set up on Skype.

3D depth is unreal Review by Ibanez_TA

Just bought this tv for my parents for Christmas. After I set it up I played pirates of the Caribbean in 3d an was amazed at the picture quality of the tv. With the 3d glasses it was crystal clear and the picture really jumped out at you. Have seen many 3D TVs and this one is honestly one of the better or best ones I have seen. Big two thumbs up! 240hz is crazy and the Netflix app alone amazing not to mention Hulu vudu and the other apps. Woul Deffinitly recommend to a good friend in need of a great tv at a decent price.

Pros:
-picture quality is insane
-3D is some of the best I've seen even TVs with the battery operated glasses
-glasses are inexpensive
-Internet apps are a huge plus along with the built in wifi
-makes 2d look unreal it's kind of a trip

Cons:
-speakers aren't the best, would recommend a sound bar
-tv can catch a glare If the room has lots of sunlight

All in all great tv so far. Just got it and am already posting on it! If anything changes I will update.

This is a tremendous value for an LED TV, not to mention one with 3D capabilities. Other LCD TVs with similar specs (120+ refresh rate, full HD, LED, 46"+, etc) are far more expensive. The Vizio Internet Apps have allowed me to go without "regular" TV service. Netflix, Amazon and Vudu provide good coverage of the programming I want to see. The 3D quality is as good as any theater 3D I have experienced. We quickly purchased Toy Story 3 in 3D to test out the 3D experience with our kids and were immediately impressed with the resolution, depth and motion. The TVs speakers leave a lot to be desired, so people considering buying this TV should budget for a better set of speakers. Other than that, it's a superb value!

240hz is unreal. Review by HD SEEKER

Just watched Goldeneye streaming on netflix on my new Vizio. The way the characters move with 240hz is unreal. Their motion is so..natural. If you're going to buy a TV make sure it has 240hz.
