Pretty darn cool for a C-note.. Review by Flyinrite

I'm a over-the-road trucker and now the package is complete. Started with a Vizio 26" Led Razor, added a laptop with 1080 output and external hard drive packed full of movies. and now this Vizio 2.0 soundbar rocks my truck! As others have stated: Soundbar IS a huge improvement over the tv speakers. And yes, the remote is basically a paperwieght. Easy hookup and mounting to the "wall" was simple. Overall, pretty impressed. Go Vizio!

"coolest thing I've ever seen or heard" Review by Jeffrey

I have the 40" inch soundbar/w sub in my living room with a 47 in Vizio LED HDTV. In addition; the same set up is in my den and my bedroom ... For me; whats' so amazing is the overall quailty of sound generating through these two small devices ... The sound is so clear and crisp and the sub delivers plenty of "bottom" absent any distortion ... With regards to the remote control issue; I went ahead and invested in a couple of Vizio's universal remotes. ($17.00 a piece at Walmart) Despite the remote control issue; I'm very happy with Vizio and this "cool" audio product !!!!!

Vizio ... Keep On Doing what you're Doing !!!!!!

You all are the BEST in my book !!!!!!!

Review Review by what?

I purchased this sound bar and had the same remote control problem. I used a little basic common sense and relocated the sound bar about the top of the new LED Vizio tv I purchased, and problem solved. They use the same signal/code. So just seperate them so that the signal does not hit both at the same time. Problem solved!

Excellent Sound Bar Review by MsYo1956

I went to Radio Shack to buy an antenna and saw the Vizio 32" Home Theater Sound Bar. I have a 37" Toshiba TV and the sound quality is not that good, so I bought the Vizio Sound Bar. It took me 5 minutes to connect it to my TV, and the moment I turned it on, I was amazed on it's performance. This takes the place of all those speakers all around the living room. I do not have a problem with the TV's remote for volume, nor the Vizio's remote. Once I've set the volume on the Sound Bar, I use the TV's remote for the volume up and down, there's no need to use the Sound Bar's remote. I would recommend this Vizio Sound Bar. EXCELLENT!!!!!

Great sound bar One flaw Review by Brian

My girlfriend and I got this sound bar over the holidays. We live in an apartment and needed something that wasn't to large but had a large amount of sound, saw the sound bar at Walmart it had great sound I fell in love at first listen. Easy to use set up, not a HD sound bar but it never states that on the box just a 3.5mm to RCA vise verse or RCA to RCA depending on your TV. Sound is amazing !!! The only flaw I ran into is the volume whether up or down would be triggered by my TV remote. I thought since my TV was Vizio sound bar also being Vizio it had to be a frequency conflict, contacting costumer support which was a very speedy return the had me power cycle the sound bar and basic trouble shooting .... at the end I was told to try a universal remote. Got a Logitech Harmony 300, sadly same results . Contacting costumer service again they took my problem to tech support. Searching hours on the internet I came across a little bit of a gem. The IR sensor in the sound bar has a what is commonly called a "ditto" response, basically if you turn your volume up or down then go to your cable/sat,TV, or dvd/blu ray remote pressing any button it will ditto the last volume control. Power, mute are not affected by the "ditto" effect. So what I have done is turn up the sound bar usually to a 3 - 4 range leaving it there turning it off nightly or setting the volume muting it unmuting and going to cable it works. A bit of a hassle maybe but it seems to be the only fix without returning the sound bar. I hope this helps anyone with the same issue I was dealing with and enjoy your sound.

Excellent sound Review by mike

This sound bar has ecellent sound but needs a digital clock readout along with the performance and input leds. It also needs a more powerful remote the manuel says its good for 30 feet more like 10 or under. I have had a problem connecting a subwoofer although a simple connection I cannot get it to work..

Very nice Review by Wedge

Just purchased this soundbar, great sound and easy hook up. The one major downer with this item is the remote, what a joke. I have to stand no further then 4- 6 feet to get it to work and sometimes it still does not work and I have to continuously hit buttons to get it to work. Half the time it will not turn the soundbar on so I have to get up and do it manually, (in this day and age that is a disaster:). Is there anyone out there for Vizio who can recommend something concerning the remote issues?

overall, very nice Review by Ken in Fort Lauderdale

I specifically purchased the Vizio soundbar because I had a Vizio TV. But that really doesnt seem to make any difference. It does not integrate any better than any normal amp and speakers. It would be great if my Vizio remote could be programmed to turn on and off the soundbar. But the remote that came with my set is not programmable. Overall, it sounds much better than the built-in speakers and that's without the subwoofer!

On the plus side is the sound and slim design.

On the minus side; the indicator lights turn off a few moments after you turn on the soundbar. So you cannot tell my just looking at it whether you left it on or not after you turn off your TV set. And the remote is worthless.

I have chosen to not use the digital in/out because if I plug the regular RCA jacks into the TV and soundbar, raising and lowering the TV sound will raise and lower the level going into the soundbar. I rarely have to use the soundbar remote this way.

Overall, worth the price.

Great Sound Review by Nette

I purchased this soundbar for over a year now. It produces great sound, and worth the price. Just a FYI...I don't bother using the remote. I use my Directv remote to control the soundbar, Tv, Directv box, wii, and DVD player.

Just recently I purchased a sony subwoofer to go with my soundbar. W O W! I love it! I am now looking for another soundbar for the bedroom. I currently use this sound bar for my 42" HDTV.

FYI...you dont need to spend money on fiber optic cable.

Have fun and enjoy the sweet sounds.

good Review by charlie

I bought this sound bar last year to use with my new 55inch TV. The first 2 would not work but I now believe that they were OK. The problem was with the Vizio support they did not know what they were talking about. I got a women on the line with my 3rd sound bar and she told me how to hook it up and when I did what she said everything worked fine. I needed a fiber optix cord that the other people did not know about. I now have a sub woofer hooked to it and the sound is just great. The big problem is with the remote it is worthless I had to order a new one at a cost of 23 dollars, I have not gotten it yet but am sure it will not last long or work well. I would buy another sound bar now that I know what to do. Better support is needed and better remote is needed.
