- Firmware upgrade fixed my sound issues also Review by Johnm93359
-
I had the exact same experience as the Review by zuniboy.
Outside of some spontaneous reboots, my main issue was the sound quality. I also was going to try the optical link with a sound-bar. I hadn't found one that met my price/performance needs. I just got the firmware update and am very pleased with the sound. I haven't played with the settings yet, but love the new fuller sound. Hopefully, the upgrade will also fix the reboots.
I am thrilled, its been a long wait.(Posted on 1/13/12)
- Amazing TV Review by Chilinmichael

Just got this a few days ago as a refurb from Overstock...this is truly an amazing TV. It has so many apps it's unheard of. You'll need a few updates if it doesn't come up to date, but it has so much. Pandora, Netflix, Hulu, Facebook, Twitter...goes on and on. Display is superb, I don't even use Cable anymore, it's strictly internet and it does it very well. Great remote and tons of options...I've heard some complain there is no EQ well there is, you need to read your manual. Endless picture adjustments as well, SRS enhancements for the sound, etc. It seems to be they may have stopped making this, which I hope not. This was the only internet-apps tv I could find that fit perfectly for my bedroom and I'm glad I got it.

- Update fixes the sound Review by zuniboy
-
I thought I was the only one that had issues with the sound quality, especially out of the headphone jack. I use a plain old plug to RCA connecter to hook it up to my shelf system (nothing fancy), and it sounded decent, but I noticed that when you changed the input or first turned it on, the audio output would be "loud" for about a second and then become much quieter, as if it was acting as a line-out perhaps.
Anyway, it was frustrating because if I used the music apps (like Pandora), the sound out of the tv sounded awful, pretty much like computer desk speakers. I was about to try an optical to RCA converter, but before I could get one, my TV alerted me that a firmware update was available. So i did the update (Dated December 2011), and as SOON as the tv restarted, the audio out was MUCH louder, and sounded much better as well. I'm not sure if anyone else out there noticed the same sound issues, but if you haven't done the update, it might fix the audio, it sure has for me.(Posted on 1/4/12)
- Great Picture, Bad Sound Review by Bob
-
Excellent Picture from this TV. The WIFI works great. For a place with no cable or dishes, the apps are very welcomed. The only problem is the sound. Very poor quality coming form the speakers as well as the headphone, audio out. As with a previous reviewer, it sounds good for a split second when adjusting, then goes back to the poor quality.

- SUPERB OVER ALL QUALITY Review by MrPhats
-
I bough this tv back in March (its now November) and have simply been in love with it. The picture and the screen resolution is awesome. On my PS3 Mag looks incredible, and the picture is good enough I sometimes forget Im playing a game. Whether watching football or a movie in HD he pictcher quality is the same, absoluting amazing. And Blu ray is phenomenol. I love everything about this tv including VIA(Vizio Internet Aps). The TV was a breeze to set up, and looks great in my bedroom. I've had it both wall mounted and on its stand. The switch from one to the other is pretty easy. One thing I do agree upon with some of the other reviewers is the sound. It's a little lacking. A surround sound, audio bar or even some computer speakers hooked up via the headphone jack) will boast the sound exponentially. Other than that this tv is a great deal. I deal I must confess I almost did not part take in. My sister who used to work at national rent to own place kept trying to steer me away from Vizio ( she thinks shes more tech minded then she really is). I knew my father Had vizio tvs, and although I didnt not watch tv on them often, I remember him having one for almost a year before purchasing his second one. I figured it couldnt be that bad if my father would purchase another. So i took a roll of the dice on the great price of the tv, did my online order and have been pleasantly pleased ever since. If you're looking for a great tv at an affordable price this is the one for you, if you just got money to burn, just get a bigger version. :)
O ya did I forgot to mention I also have this tv hooked up to my computer( dual output video card in my computer) for those days I wish to watch a digital download movie. And the picture is just as good.(Posted on 11/11/11)

- Great for mobile applications Review by Steve
-
My wife and I travel all over the country and were looking for a way to get TV programs we had missed along the way. This TV was a great solution. We can stream missed shows and movies through our Mobile Hot Spot wirelessly using the WiFi and providers Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, etc. The quality of the picture and set is great as well. The sound isn't an issue for us because I output to a surround sound system although bass response could be better. I highly recommend the set for everyone, but especially for anyone who travels and can put the internet apps to good use.

- Very Good Plus Review by Tom
-
Excellent picture and great value and functionality for the money. I'm happy with everything except the sound from the tiny (tinny?) speakers. Furthermore, the most recent firmware download removed the equalizer options, which didn't seem to help much anyway.

- great TV with a few glitches. Review by Nikos
-
PROS: Screen quality is great and durable ( had a shelf fall of the wall and hit the screen little scratch but the screen didn't break. internet streaming "Netflix" great too.
CONS: Sound thought the earphone plug is very bad, doesn't matter what you plug in it, how high the bass setting is, it sounds the same "BAD", this is a software issue, because as you change the settings (bass up or down) for that split second you her the bass and then it's gone again, every time i start a movie first second has bass and then it's gone again.
Till Vizio fixes this software issue, i would recommend the vizio optical sound bar.
and some times it freezes and the screen restarts, that has gone much better since a update done a wile ego.
as for the pc resolutions 1360 x 768 doesn't work even thought it's in the specs your choices are 1024 x 768 or 1920 x 1080.
would i buy an other well ... i have 3 so "NO", but I do recommend it .
hope vizio reads this and fix the audio problem .

- Good but lacking Review by Pops

I have to say that for the price and features, you can't lose. I would like better features like
usb input and bluetooth and dual band for starters. If it is in your budget, I would advise
getting a better model with the options you need. The 26" is perfect in size for my needs
and the picture is sharp with rabbit ears. The sound is fine and wifi is great but limited.
Overall for the price and quality I have to give 5 stars.(Posted on 3/24/11)
