Great TV, not so stellar as monitor! Review by Shade

This is a great TV right out of the box, easy to set up, great wi-fi, phenomenally cheap for the quality. The downside though is it does not support full 1920x1080 as a computer monitor the best I was able to get it to do was 1024 x768.

Nice TV, Sound Quality is Inferior Review by Restonguy

The apps are cool for this Vizio which is what attracted me to it.

Unfortunately, the sound from the internal speakers is so poor that if you have any intention of listening to music, you must add external speakers.

Even for normal broadcast tv, the sound is weak and tinny.

wifi is great Review by frog

Great little TV- built in WIFI is top notch, works well. As far as apps, there needs to be more apps- and where is HBO GO?!?! This is a must have!

Overall great value & LOTS of features! Review by Wireless World

Got this nice little TV/internet appliance as a gift for myself this christmas. It has far and away surpassed any expectations one could have for a $219.00 TV in terms of it's ability to stream NetFlix, buy items on eBay etc...

A couple minor gripes are:

1) The remote is not as described in the manual, but not a major issue since the UI is very intuitive.

2) the VESA mount is kind of flimsy. When you have the TV mounted to a monitor tree (ergotron 2X2) it extends forward about 1.5" from the rest of the devices. Just don't look good.

Otherwise, a fantastic value!

great quality for the price - not the best sound and it shutdown for 1 minute every week. Review by unniquadium

The quality of the image is awesome. I haven't used it with live HDTV, only with a videogame with HDMI and it works like a charm.

Apps are a nice feature for this TV, you can check weather, use NetFlix, Facebook, Twitter, it's pretty cool. You wouldn't expect that from a TV of with this cost.

USB port is nice but very limited, you can only watch picture and the port is on the back of the display, so if you have it mounted on your wall, forget about it.

The very weak point about this is, the sound. It sounds like a cheap laptop speakers, so you better have a HT of another speakers and you will be fine.

A bad thing is that because of some reason, it restarts like once every 2 weeks. I don't know the reason but it happens.

Good picture - Bad sound Review by billd25

I just bought 3 of these TVs on clearance at Target. I replaced the old tube TVs in my kids' bedrooms. They are wonderful, with wifi, internet apps and great picture.

My only compaints are that the sound is very weak, and the remote feels very cheap.

Amazing TV! Review by Tim

I bought this Television a few months back, and I have to say it's probably the best TV I've ever bought. I love Vizio's for their second to none picture and the addition of the VIA makes it even better. I get to watch my Netflix with having to turn on my Xbox 360 anymore.

There is just one minor problem I have with the Television, and this might happen only because I leave my TV on through the night, but about every weekend, my TV blacks out and shuts down for a good 2 minutes.

But the picture overpower's the minor 2 minutes, and this is truely a amazing TV.

Great Deal! Review by Eleanor

Got this for $249.00 at Target. So far I'm very impressed. The sound isn't the greatest it could be but overall a great value with a wonderful picture. I had trouble figuring out how to enter my password for my router but finally got that straight. The manual said my remote would slide open to reveal a keyboard, but it doesn't. Got around it and it's doing fine, though!

Excellent Review by mmart

This tv is beautiful. It's lightweight and the picture is the one of the best I have ever seen.

Good things do come in small packages!!! Review by Quagmire

I just bought the 22" 220NV for Christmas for my younger daughter. I bought it through Target at a great price, $279. I didn't realize anyone was making a true HD (1080p) in such a small set, then on top of that when I ordered it I didn't know that it had internet applications.....what a great deal.

I pulled it out of the box to set-up, and talk about easy. I hooked it into our wireless network and got it up and running and in 5 minutes was watching Netflix movies.

This is my 3rd Vizio, and I'm only buying Vizio from here on out.

Excellent Buy Review by One Believer

I have purchase 3 Vizio TVs 23", 46" and a 32" size I bought another brand and nothing compares to the Vizio. The 23 and 32 inch are the LED/LCD models. Color, Sound, Picture there is nothing I can say bad about this brand. Would not buy any other brand again. The LED/LCD models are so sleek and save space, I just love all of them. If you search hard enough you can find excellent prices. I have yet to pay full price for any the the 3 I have purchase.

Great value Review by Chuck

Picked it up on special at Costco. Picture is great. Sound not so much, but I didn't expect much. Although the unit is thin, the mounting bracket and the way the cable inputs are arranged, you can't get it real close to the wall, which didn't matter for my setup. But if you're buying this for a real flat setup and low profile it's not going to work. Overall big fan of vizio so far.

Amazing value and features Review by lb311

Wow, this little TV does it all! Not only is it a great picture in a package weighing less than 10 lbs, but it also has terrific Wifi internet features (and easy setup). It streams Netflix and Pandora, and has widgets for Flickr, Yahoo Weather/News/Stocks, Facebook, Twitter, and more. There's also access to Vizio's "Widget Gallery" where new apps can be downloaded as they become available.

While the speakers are rather "tinny" by default, there's an equalizer option where you can adjust the sound better. The remote does fine, but the Ok/Select and directional buttons are a bit spongey and take some getting used to.

I got mine for $249 at Target, and consider this LED TV a terrific value at that price!

Easy Access to the Internet Review by OsbornTV

Purchased the M220NV at Sam's Club for my wife's birthday. She wanted to watch Netflix and the local HD channels from our pool patio. Set up was so simple to attach the HD outdoor antenna and access the web thru wifi. Also like the optional RJ45 connector for wired Ethernet, but even at just 802.11 G we had no issues with the streaming video quality. Not sure what all the fuss is about moving to 802.11 N for video streaming.

This would be a perfect gift for college students too.

Superb Performance Review by DH II

Just purchased this TV set for my houseboat viewing on the Mississippi river. I am very pleased with picture and all the advanced selections to customize sight and sound. Have created a stampede of other boaters visiting my boat to get in on the experience. This is the one product in my life where I can truly say "I got more than I payed for!"

The Best Review by Jimmy

The remote is the ultimate compliment of this TV unit; it just rocks! No complaints at all.
I wasted my time hooking up a Cat6 Cable only to discover it has 802.11n wireless, which btw, works flawless with me Cisco N Router. The CEO of Vizio deserves an 880 foot personal Cruise Ship along with a Hefty Pay Hike...lol -- Great job you guys!
Can you say, "Bye Bye Samsung & Sony?"

Absolutely Excellent TV every feature imaginable Review by John

The complaint about the remote is silly. It is very well logically laid out, is not complicated, and once you understand it all buttons can easily be used in the dark, which is more than can be said for the majority of remotes, even from the most pricey of brands. The menus are very logical, in fact, the most logical I've seen. Other complaints on the net about sound are based on folks not knowing how to adjust the sound... if you turn off the frills for the sound, modes allow, pop, rock, stadium, classical, etc.... but if you just leave it on flat, then an enhanced graphics equalizer is an option. Select it and you can tune to just exactly the right tone you prefer for the acoustics of the room and your hearing (this is a great TV for the hard of hearing, as it can be tweaked to the hearing loss, using the graphics equalizer).... this nulls any complaints about, "I'm taking it back, the sound is too tinny," well might be, right out of the box... but learn how to use the well oiled machine, and whala, you get exactly what you want... And the sound is also ample... too many TVs have too weak of sound, and you might get the tone right, but can never get the volume... There is no problem here for room filling sound, and then some--like over a noisy whirlpool bath, e.g. Also, for the widgets you don't need or wish to reorder, just press the yellow button, and then the color menu that pops up.. blue to reorder, and red to delete (course you can always get it back later by re-adding from the widget menu). This TV is a fantastic bargain. It streams Netflix (and Netflix streaming is FREE for 15,000 plus movies, with any standard Netflix account, even the $8.99 a month kind). A Roku player costs $129 for wireless n to stream netflix, yet this functionality is built in using the single remote, and not having to fiddle with another device... subtract that from the cost of the TV and look what you are really paying for the TV. Next to nothing for a 1080p, picture adjustments 6 ways from Sunday, and auto adjustment for ambient light. This is an absolutely fantastic value. It even has controls that let you horizontally and vertically tweak stretch the picture, like on very expensive Sony TVs. Well, in fact even better, because you can also re-position. This IS the main feature any HDTV needs if a good percentage of non high def is watched (and that is extremely!! clear on this TV) is to stretch the vertical slightly--what this does is make the people less fat from the normal horizontal stretch to the wide screen format, and if you don't over do it, don't sacrifice any of the screen information, like the scrolling bars on CNN, etc. So all channels look more natural, with less fat faces, etc. Features like the graphic equalizer, and screen stretching, can only be found on the very top of line TVs. Vizio really pulled a nice price point on this TV. Anyone that takes one back just because they didn't take the time to understand it at first, will be sorry they did, or not, I guess, if they are too dumb to know any better. LOL

Great Value Review by BigT

I bought this TV on sale at Sam's Club for $238.00. Amazing deal. As others have said on CNET, the speakers/sound need help, but then again this in only a 22" TV. Setup was easy but the remote is bad. Picture is awesome even when watching netflix through the VIA. Overall a great value for the $.

LED or LCD M220NV Review by shi128z

Television is super thin and feather light. Bought it for my son's room and I can put this thing anywhere and it looks good.

Remote is flimsy and I found myself wishing for a wireless keyboard after spending 1 hour setting up my widgets.

Overall, a very good small little television for the price.
