Highly Recommended Must Buy Review by Chris

Long before I purchased this HDTV I had be dreaming of a way to have a internet connected TV. When I learned about this model and at the time the lesser-known company Vizio I knew that I had to take a chance to finally make my dream come true of a internet connected TV and I purchased this model when it first came out even before it was in stores to see first hand. To this day I have never looked back on making that decision!

First the design is great and will work in any setting. This model offers plenty of inputs for all your entertainment needs (4 HDMI, I even charge my Iphone to one of the 3 HDMI ports). And the picture quality is the best I’ve seen on any HDTV, watching sports is even better then being there. I still get compliments from friends asking, how is your picture quality that amazing, my HDTV doesn’t look that good? Now the internet apps, I use Netflix, VUDU, Amazon Instant Video and Yahoo Fantasy Football the most. All the other apps are pretty disappointing and I would like to see more development in this area. I connect my MAC through HDMI to truly offer the internet connected TV experience that I was looking for (mainly surfing the web or playing Itunes). The only major disappointment I have for this TV was the remote. It does have a slide out keyboard which is handy with the apps, however it is bulky. Additionally it is not backlit which makes it impossible to use in the dark while watching a movie.

Finally Vizio’s Customer Service is hands down the best! They are friendly and respectful while concentrating on answering questions or problems. I experienced a hardware issue that caused horizontal black lines on my screen. Customer Service first attempted troubleshooting with me over the phone. After recognizing that did not fix the problem, Vizio sent out and setup up a new TV. No hassle or endless calls to customer service, they simply rectified the problem by doing the right thing and with class.

Thank You Vizio... I can’t wait to purchase my next TV from you!

EXCELLENT Review by Rich

Bought this TV 2 years ago--no problems to date and the picture and features are OUTSTANDING. I have purchase 3 other smaller VIZIO models since. Nice to see a company that makes a good product at a reasonable price.

nice tv but.... Review by beyondr

Bought this tv for the internet ready, it has a few aps, mostly yahoo based. wish it had a browser so we could use the tv as a "monitor" and run what we want from the wireless thru it. also bought our daughter roku for xmas and it has a boatload of more aps for tv/movies. vizio you need more updates and upgrades to be available through the internet aps.

Other than that, the TV is an awesome pic and sound.

thank you

Nice TV terrible remote Review by Sully

My family and I certainly love the TV and its clarity, decent sound and plentiful features. We are disappointed by cheap remote -second one just went. I have spent hours getting help from Vizio with mixed results including conflicting advice. I thought that by now-about a year and a half later, the USB ports would be ready but no such luck- so no direct input from your cameras, etc

Pitty bout the location Review by AusVizioFan

To whom it may concern,

I have been an avid fan for years since i first heard about your brand and the model vizio vxt551 and to be honest I'm not really impressed that this company hasn't come to Australia... i have read about this TV and looked over similarly priced and more expensive TV's and i haven't been able to find anything to a close caliber as to what you guys offer for what seems to be "a TV to lead by example" type of TV....

I understand that you guys have had a nasty experience with Australia a few years ago and it seems to have left quite a bad taste in your mouth. Also, that seems to be lingering too long.... We all understand that sometimes things like this happen, but I'm sure that there is a reputable dealer for the Australian market that will happily look after your baby and treat it as their own.

Here are a list of dealers i would recommend to your company to consider if you ever do decide to introduce these Fantastic TV's into Australia:

-Harvey Norman
-The Good Guys.
-Kmart (yes we have them here too)
-Big W (I suppose an equivalent to Walmart)
-Costco (it had to hit our shores sometime didn't it.)
-Dick Smith.
-Retrovision.
-Myer.
-David Jones.
-JB HIFI
- Radio Shack (if they're still around.)
-Jaycar.
-Aldi

just to name a few.

Please reconsider your option to totally "cut out Australia as a future market" as we love our technology just as much as the next country and just reading the last 60 or so reviews, telling me how great these TV's are, makes me think what am i truly missing...? Do you think I'm the only one in Australia who feels this way..?

Please don't prove me right by thinking your only going to stay in America and be #1 there only...? I know these TV's just need one major component to be changed or modified to be suitable for our conditions (well possibly not even that) and then we could see what all the fuss is about...!!!!!

Please reconsider this choice as I'm sure that if your reputation is as important as you claim... i would be happy to get my GF to sell her LG42LHQD LED TV to buy one of these suckers if you claim that they are as good as you say..

Also, i don't really mind talking to Americans for customer support, as i do with Ebay and i never really have an issue with communication and i'd be happy to call if i ever have a problem, along with what it seems your US customers do.

I have even joined your VIZIO facebook page and i look forward to reading about your future product line-up in regards to your headphones as well as your new PAD and Mobile phone, which i understand are to be released soon.

Thankyou for taking the time to read my post and please pass this onto your higher management as i think they are making a grave mistake in missing a market that is quite happy to throw money at a device that is as you say "#1 in the USA".

Also, with an upcoming product having two future devices to be completely compatible with your newer range of TV's, i know people who would literally tear their hear out in happiness to have something like that and i believe that the idea of "Complete Component Co-operation" is wonderful as this allows YOUR CUSTOMERS to enjoy THEIR Vizio experience.

Once again, Thank you and i hope to hear back in regards to this

Gary.

Going good but...................... Review by Epster

Set up went well. Picture is great!! Almost took the day off to enjoy but will wait. Only complaint is that the remote will not run my Sony Blu Ray player. It only tried one code and then had to manually enter codes. I tried a few but ran out of time.
Deleivery service was very good. Brought it right inot the house and checked for damage.

Great TV, with one complaint Review by Mikey

I have had my VF552XVT for almost a year now and I still LOVE the picture and the Internet apps. I've got my cable box and Blu-ray player hooked up via HDMI and my Wii via composite and I ran an optical audio cable out from the TV into my stereo receiver so I never have to change the input on my receiver when I change TV inputs. It's nice that this TV has wireless, but I like the dependabilty of wired so I ran an ethernet cable for mine. I stream Netflix and Vudu all the time and they work great. The fact that the remote isn't illuminated doesn't bother me now that I know all the buttons by feel.

My one complaint is that Vizio still hasn't activated the USB ports so I can plug in a thumb drive and listen to mp3s or look at pictures. I have contacted them via email and they told me a firmware update is coming, but mine still aren't active.

Splendid to say the least Review by Benny

Purchased this unit about 3-4 months ago and has given me and my family nothing but great memories since. This tv lacks absolutely nothing and gave me more then what I expected I say thank you to Vizio for producing a great product  you have my business aswell as having my family's business aswell for years to come. I plan on purchasing a vizio soundbar with subwoofer home theatre system for the holidays just to make things even better then they already are.

I recommend Vizio products to everyone as I converted over from Samsung products. Best part of Vizio products is they are MADE IN THE USA!!

Very good value. Review by Prontito

We bought this tv about 6 months ago. The set-up was very easy to follow including seamless wi-fi detection. We love the picture; when we were shopping around the only picture that was better was from a plasma Samsung at a much higher price and with the downfalls of plasma tv. Please know that the USB ports are not usable at this point. I also do not notice any improvement with the "SRS TruVolume," commercials are still obnoxiously loud some times. I wish there more "widgets" (apps); there are some nice ones (e.g. Netflix), but more variety is welcomed. Another downside is that the PIP/POP feature does not work with only one cable box; that is, you can't watch more than one tv channel, you can watch tv and dvd or tv and blue ray etc. I called tech support and they confirmed this, the only way to watch two channels with this tv would be to have two separate cable boxes going to different inputs. BTW, tech support was great! Called in the evening and waited less than a minute for very courteous help. The bottom line is the picture (and screen size!) is ridiculously good, 4 out of 5!

Great TV Review by pskinner

Very nice TV, one of the best I've ever owned. As stated by all the other reviews just a phenominal television.

But.

With such a great TV I think the remote is the weak part. I have had nothing but trouble with the remote. It's a very tech heavy remote. Slider with a qwerty keyboard, but it feels cheap. 80% of the time I have to take the batteries out of the remote and place them back in, in order to get the remote working. I would just get a universal remote but there is this little button on the remote called VIA...you can't get to the internet apps with out it...No Netflix with out the actual remote...so I'm stuck with this thing.

Great Product, Great Price Review by Canuck Customer

Originally purchased RCA 55" purchased at TigerDirect, Burlington, ON. It worked for two hours then the picture died, then the sound followed the picture. TigerDirect gave me a full refund and upgraded me, with a little extra cost, to a 55" VF552XVT Vizio HDTV. What a difference. Night to Day. When they say XVT Extreme Vizio Technology they are bang on. This TV is so awesom in picture, sound and features its hard to do it justice with words. The set up was easy although I haven't used the internet yet. Can't say enough good things about the folks at Tiger Direct..

Great TV and support to match! Review by Michael

BLUF: This TV beats the competition with all the features, picture quality, wi-fi, apps and price....then it blows them away with the great tech support! I now have three and will be getting another to replace the bedroom Samsung hanging on my wall.

I purchased this 55" to replace an old (though loved) JVC 56" Projection. Setup was a breeze which included adding it to our wireless network. I concur with all the great reviews (Vizio, Keep it up) but want to add a little on Vizio's tech support. Our first TV arrived and worked out of the box but, in a couple of days, we noticed a slight discollored (grey on light backgrounds) 4" wide bar just off center. I contacted tech support via the web and received an email reply the next day. The email was very detailed and walked me through the process of attempting to fix the screen issue. Afterwards the problem still existed so I followed the last step explained in the email (I called live tech support). I was surprised to hear a clear, english as first language, person on the other end (without having to spend 10 mins hitting the keypad). Up front you are advised that Vizio tech support is handled in the US and all calls are answered in the US (I love this complany). I can't find the name for the tech support person I worked with but, I can tell you, he was very professional and quick to determine that the best course of action was to get a view of the screen. I took three pics and sent them to him and, the next day, he called me back and said a new (re-certified) tv would be delivered within 7 to 10 days.

I received a call from the delivery company to set up a delivery date and then received an email that detailed the process which included what I had to do and what the delivery company had to do (I only had to disconnect the cables). Delivery was actually made two days early and the new Vizio works like a champ.

Easy to Setup Review by Krazykat

After I unpack it, I was worry about the setup and how difficult it is...to my surprise..the screen show me step by step on setup procedure..it even assist me to install my Blue Ray DVD player, regular DVD and my Playstation 3. The wireless setup was a breeze..
Later that evening , I watch a movie from Netflick - it was HD stream and was watching in a movie theater. Oh by the way , if you drive a Honda Odessey like we have , the box will fix perfectly after you lower the 3rd row seat. We decided to pick one up at Sams club and it is nearest to our house..

Excellent TV Review by golfnrl

I bought my 55" Vizio LED from Dell. It arrived as scheduled. I took it out of the box and set it up without any problems whatsoever. Others may not like the remote that comes with the TV but I think it is great. The set up was flawless with the step by step on screen set-up guide. I had the TV up and running on my home wireless network in just a few minutes. The picture is awesome! In fact, it is so good I am thinking of buying another one for another room. I can't wait for the start of football season. The picture on this TV is so clear I didn't realize what I was missing with my regular 46" LCD tv. Great TV Vizio!

More Bang for your buck! Review by Uhsul

Better features then comparable 55" LED LCD TV's on the market, with typical savings of $1,100. At these prices you could afford two for the price of 1 SAMSUNG or SONY. Best of all, true 802.11N WIFI internet with full QWERTY keyboard built-in to remote, Blue-tooth or Infrared, makes watching NETFLIX a breeze! The Vizio VF552XVT is almost double the thickness and is a bit heavier then comparable LED/LCD TV's, but if you purchase a decent quality wall mount you won't notice it at all. The Bottom-line for me were the features for the price, no other LED/LCD that I looked at had more or better features, or significant picture quality then the Vizio VF552XVT for the price, and if you buy it at COSTCO or SAMSCLUB you can save even more money. Vizio's VF552XVT really does give you more BANG for your BUCK, and in today's economy every penny does count!

Fantastic picture great value Review by Hairbear

Bought at Sams for a great price $1748. Picture fantastic. Compared to major brands costing twice as much this was an easy choice. Love the bluetooth remote & wireless internet features. link/setup was a breeze. Great sound. Only complaint-- wish the USB ports were active to play photos. Guess I'll have to post them on Facebook.

simplemente la mejor Review by ht

Awesome TV Review by AH Family

I bought this TV from Dell about three months ago... Compared to other brands VIZIO is the best "bang for the buck" out there... I love this TV... I love the internet apps, having NETFLIX at the push of a button is my favorite APP of all... The TVs picture is perfect and the sound quality is pretty good too... I use this TV with a VIZIO Blu-Ray player and I was speechless when I saw how clear my movies are using the VIZIO TV and Blu-Ray player together... It was like I was actually there watching the action through a spotless glass window... My wife loves that she can see the imperfections on actors faces due to the clear picture, she says " wow they really are not perfect looking people after all"... LOL... I am so happy with this TV and the VIZIO brand that I will be outfitting the rest of the rooms in my 6 bedroom house with VIZIO 32" TVs next... Keep up the good work and the great prices VIZIO and I promise you'll make a life long customer out of me!!!!

NICE TV Review by mrphilly

I set this baby up about a week ago and I could'nt be happier. Blue ray is awesome to say the least and the hook-up was a breeze. About two years ago, i don't think I would have purchased a Vizio product, but now, this was the best purchase indeed for the $$$. I think this company has come a long way, and if you decide to buy this tv, i think you'll be as happy as I am. Thanks Vizio for a great product.

I have this monster Vizio sitting in the living room right now, i'm waiting for my stand to be delivered to set it up. what caught my eye in all the reviews out here, was the price they paid.
I found a coupon from a dell websight that had this tv listed for 1649 plus tax. i jumped on it.

Great Deal! Review by Michael

This is my second Vizio. I waited and waited, read review after review and finally decided to pull the trigger. There is absolutely no reason to pay more for an HDTV. Anything more than $2k is absurd. After $2k you are just paying for a brand NAME. I purchased it from COSTCO for $1799. This tv worked perfectly right out of the box. I was prepared to tweak the settings but after watching Avatar i didn't think it was necessary. The picture is amazing. My son said it looked "real". No other tv can come close to this kind of deal. Wireless internet apps are nice. The Netflix set-up was a breeze. Its a great feature and it think it will get better. The only issue i have with Vizio is the fixed stand- i dont understand why they cant make a stand that swivels!?!

Vizio+Netflix is da bomb!! Review by JB

Just hooked up our Vizio today... easy setup with onscreen instructions got us up and running in no time. One of the first things we did was fire up the Netflix app over WiFi and watched The Big Liebowski in HD, and needless to say it was seemless. You could have told me it was Blu Ray and I wouldn't have guessed. This is more than a TV, this is digital convergence finally coming true!! Way to go Vizio!!!!

Super clear picture!! Review by Albert

I've spent months selecting the best flat screen TV that would fit my budget to replace our old aging 55" projection TV. After countless hours of research on the internet and a lot of persuasion for my wife to agree to replace our working (though I prayed it would break soon) projection TV, she finally agreed for me to go ahead and get one that's less than $2K. I considered getting a plasma because a 55" would be around $1,800K but learned that a LCD was best suited for our family room because of lots of ambient light. I looked at the leading brands but 55" would cost far more than my budget and there were some less than $2K but older models without wi-fi. Then I thought of just getting the 42" newer models because they were cheaper than 50" and bigger sizes. One day we went to Costco for our groceries and saw the Vizio VF552XVT model playing the Avatar. I was so impressed with the clarity of the picture but thought it was way above $2K because the comparable 55" LED brands and 240Hz were almost or over $3K. I was ready to go but decided to check the price and almost jumped to know the price was $1,799.00. I almost bought one right that minute but decided to check the internet when I got home. Found out it was on sale that week at Dell and immediately ordered one. I almost could not sleep for a few days anticipating the delivery and immediately went home from work when my wife called in that it was already delivered. I immediately set it up, including the internet connection, pandora, connected it to my older home theater system, etc. My wife was blown away with this TV and when I turned on the old projection TV, she saw it was worth the upgrade. She now decided to get rid or donate the old one. I used the savings to buy a new blue ray player and it got so easy for me to ask her to upgrade our directv subscription to high def too. The TV is now truly the entertainment center in our house. If you are having 2nd thoughts of selecting this TV because of a few negative review in Amazon, just get one and you won't regret it. You won't find any other TV of this class that's less than $2K.

Awesome! Review by tminn

I have been researching 55" and larger TV's for almost 6 months as my 65" DLP has a bad light engine and I can't get a replacement part. I was really interested in LCD/LED technology and have been comparing all models that are currently available as well as researching upcoming technology. I had the opportunity to see the VF552XVT side-by-side with several of it's competitors. I was truly impressed with the difference in picture quality and dollar for dollar, the VIZIO won hands down!

I purchased mine 2 weeks ago and every time I turn it on, whether it's to play games, watch a DVD or HD broadcast, I am truly impressed with the picture. The apps are pretty cool too!

VIZIO has made a believer out of me... Great TV!

Can't wait for more apps to roll out!

Just Got That Amazing Deal As Well!!! Review by Chris

So, I've been waiting and waiting to get a new TV just wanting to pull the trigger. I went to Costco to get the 552 and it's not in the store yet where I live. But I saw another reviewer got the TV at dell with the coupon code for $1699.00 with free shipping. I used the coupon code and i'll be damned if it didn't work. My order has been placed. With tax and all it's 1830.67. Big time savings here. I already have done all the homework and read all the reviews. This is the best TV. I'll write a more complete review when I get it.

Coupon code was "RZVFLPR5TD?BSL" I know it looks weird with the question mark in it, but it's supposed to be there.

Very satisfied demanding customer Review by jg63co

Did a lot of homework and visual comparisons before deciding to wait for this TV to be released. Very glad I did. Works exactly as advertised.

Setup was a breeze, even when setting it up with multiple hookup types such as with and without a home theater. The setup menus are great. This thing has a bunch of possible input hookups and the menus make it all very easy.

The performance is outstanding. The picture is great with true colors and great contrast thanks to the local LED dimming.

Even with the fastest moving video, dithering or pixelation is almost undetectable. You really have to nitpick to find it. This is a lot better than 60Hz sets and noticeably better than 120 Hz sets. I'd highly recommend 240 Hz sets to watch sporting events and action movies.

When compared with other sets, I only found High-End traditionally back-lit Sharp's, Sony's, and Samsungs to have comparable colors and contrast. The edge-lit LED sets from those company's have actually degraded colors and contrast compared to their older sets. LED backlighting is great for durability and heat-reduction, but unless you get local-dimming and not edge-lighting the blacks may have a blueish tint to them, which messes up the overall picture and color quality.

People tend to criticize the sound from flat screens, but this set is not bad. It's as good or better than any previous set I've ever owned and provides good sound for most everyday viewing. While some people may think the look of this TV is not as "clean" as others which don't have a visible soundbar speaker in front, I think this TV benefits from that soundbar when it comes to TV speaker sound quality. This has proven to be a good feature since my wife likes to watch TV with just the TV speakers late at night to not wake up the rest of the house with the surround system.

The internet apps are a nice feature. Especially Netflix. I look forward to downloading more apps as they become available. They are all very easy to download and use. Internet setup for the TV was a snap.

When hooked-up to a home theater system, this thing is great. No TV at this price point is cheap, at least for most of us, but I smile every time I watch it thinking I got a bargain.

Buying through Costco with an American Express card is a great way to add two years to the Vizio one year warranty. You can do a lot of research on a product purchase and still get burned. Happy to have gotten lucky with this one.

Get one. I doubt you'll have any regrets.

Incredible Review by Jbow34

I am one of those shoppers that many people hate. I carry my droid (for instant lookups) and shop as if this was the last dime I was ever to spend. This new TV purchase was to replace a functionally working rear projection HD (1080i) widescreen TV. It was very hard or me to pop for a new unit while getting good service from my 7 year old unit.
Once I committed I spent weeks looking at EVERY brand out there and never had one hit me with the Wow factor enough to pull 2000 dollars or more from my pocket. So I had thought that I may have to wait for a generation or two more until the wow factor sucked those moth laden dollars from my pocket. Well, while shopping at SAMS Club (go figure) I walked past the line of Flat Panels only to be stopped dead in my tracks at the LCD LED 55inch Vizio. The picture quality Jumped off the screen. The side by side comparison was astounding with the likes of Sony, Toshiba, LG and a few others. This TV had the wow factor that I was looking for. Its picture was clearer brighter and crisper than any I had ever seen.
The deal was done and I brought the unit home for set up and found something I did expect. The side by side comparison with my old unit was scarry, showing that in a better environment Non-warehouse this tv has even better picture than I dreamed.
Set was easy and the unit was compatible with all of my existing components.
Overall I would rate this TV as the Best on the market. After a few weeks My wife (nothe the AV phile) looks at the picture and says that it looks so clear it looks like we are looking out the window at the show happening out the window!

Great purchase. Great deal and very much recommended!

Wow! Review by do2nt

Our 50" DLP set's color wheel succumbed to a squeeling death. To replace it, I was ready to pop $2999 for a 60" model from another manufacturer. Until, that is, the "spousal unit" jerked the reins in. Bought this Vizio model at Sam's for about $1200 less.

Have only had it four days now, but I am really impressed. It was easy to remove from the packaging. Hooking it up and going through set-up was a breeze. If there is any need to do a "calibration", it is beyond my perception abilities.

The cable service's HDTV channels were so good looking, I decided to buy a Blu-Ray player. I bought two disc's (Toy Story 2 and Avatar). Invited the daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren over to take a look and put on Toy Story 2. All of us completely forgot about everything else we had to do until it was over!

Absolutely awesome picture. Value for the price is unbeatable.

To buy the Blu-Ray version of Avatar, I went back to store where the afore-mentioned 60" was the apple of my eye and I took another look at it. No regrets at all for being nixed by the "spousal unit"!!!!

Great TV Review by Trenhaile

Right out of the box, This TV looks awesome. The local dimming LED back lighting is great. There are few times I don't like it. For example when the entire screen is black with only a few white words in the middle of the screen, then the text is a little darker and hard to read, but that is because the back lighting is off to ensure the picture is as black as it can be. This is probably as close to a plasma screen you can get but still have the benefits of an LCD. Anything from Disney/Pixar on BlueRay is freaking breathtaking. This TV does not have true 240hz, but in my opinion, it is very close and you will never notice. PS3 Games have more detail than before.

The wireless N is great but I have ours hardwired. The Internet apps work like a charm. Streaming Netflix movies could not be simpler and the Pandora app is perfect. I do wish that the weather app had a current radar you could view.

This TV has a Lip sync feature on it that I found to be useless. When I do need it it is hidden deep in the settings and it is only able to go one direction. So if the words are faster than the video or the other way around it will only work one direction.

We are hooked up with an optical cable to a surround sound system. The tv outputs Dolby Digital with ease.

This TV also does a great job of keeping the correct resolution. It is never distorted unless you manually distort but thats your own fault if you do. I'm pretty sure this TV looks better than real life. I wish Real Life looked this good.

Two Thumbs Up Review by Mark

Just got mine this week.

This beast has an awesome picture and I love the VIA apps.

The price point for this TV is tremendously good when comparing to the 'other' brands.

Only two things I'd like to see different from a future firmware update.
1) Activate at least one USB port and add Media File support.
2) Output Dolby Digitial 5.1 from the optical out port no matter what source the TV is connected to; VIA especially.

We love this TV! Review by ANNIEOFVT

Just got this TV on 4/15 and we're in LOVE! So much so we're glad it's been raining all weekend, so we don't feel guilty being inside the house and playing with our new toy!
We originally purchase the XVT472SV on 1/17 from Costco, and were thrilled w/ it. Had no problems, sounded great...added a new receiver and the Vizio Blue Ray player (haven't seen a Blue-Ray movie yet).
Stopped by Costco on Monday of this week and was dismayed to see that our new TV had an updated model w/wifi apps- for $100 more! I knew that was just gonna eat at me, so I went to the Costco service desk, asked them about returning a TV w/o pkg...(yeah, I know-normally we hold boxes forever...but this one was so big!). Anyways-The girl at the desk was great, told me that Vizio does want the boxes back and said she'd have to check with the manager. I was honest with her, told her we loved it, there was nothing wrong with it, but the wifi App version hadn't been available when we made the purchase!
Of course the manager was no where to be found..so she took my name and phone, and promised to call me...(remember 90 day return limit---getting close!). I was surprised that she did call- and told me the man she needed to speak w/ was not in,but would be the following day. She did call and left a message w/my husband that there was no problem, they'd take the TV back as long as we brought back everything that came with it. (Love Costco too!).
We were busy that same night when she gave the go-ahead, so the next day we lovingly placed the 47 inch into the car, got all the books, receipts etc together, and headed to Costco. The return went smoothly, we told the woman we were going to purchase the other model, she gave us the refund on a Costco card and to my shock (and embarrassment) the tag on the shelf of the wi-fi enabled version said "Coming soon"-highlighted brightly in yellow! They did have a 42 inch wi-fi enable (but I don't think it was LED, and I didn't want to go smaller).
I apologized to my hubby...as now we'd be w/out a TV in the LR for the weekend-but reminded him we had a TV in his shop and in our bedroom...we decided to suck it up, and just hold onto the gift card until the TV came in. Meanwhile we treated ourselves to dinner ala Costco! After downing the hot-dogs, we thought we'd take "one more look" at the TV we'd have later in the week....that bright shiny HUGE 55 inch w/ wifi was just looking at us....and that's when it happened...we were already gonna spend another $100, so what was another $500? We bit the bullet and bought this dream! Out of the frying pan and into the fire....it wouldn't fit in my vehicle....we'd chosen not to use the pickup for the return of the other.....DAMN! We took care of that issue immediately, brought the 55er home....setup was a dream, sound -even before connecting to our receiver- was great....and then connecting to wifi a snap!!!
The only down on this is that the apps sound don't (and can't) come through surround sound...the email to tech support confirmed (they responded in minutes)....and I have had Pandora freeze a bit....agreed-the remote could be improved-but we are not at all sorry that we didn't wait for the smaller version- and we aren't sorry for purchasing from Costco. If you are considering this set-buy it...and if you do-then buy from Costco-great return policy, and double the manufacturer's warranty!!

Awesome TV Review by Wookums

I recieved the VF552XVT about 3 weeks ago and so far I'm completely impressed with this TV. Was easy to hook up and only had one glitch getting the TV to recognise the bluetooth remote. After a few tries it finally worked however and have not had any problems with any functions since.

The picture is incredible using plain HDTV broadcast through an antenna. Since I'm more of a movie watcher I purchased this TV because of the VIA feature and have been streaming Netflix movies since I got the TV. So far it has been flawless and very easy. I can have a movie up and running from my que in less then a minute just hitting a couple of buttons. Blu Ray movies are incredible on this TV. The picture is very bright and crisp. I might actually have to turn this down since it's almost blinding with a very white scenes.

The sound isn't bad right out of the TV but I have it hooked up to a Sony Blu -Ray theater system for maximun enjoyment. I really don't think you can get a better TV for this price with all the functionality. I am a Vizio convert for sure.

WOW Review by Rod

This is my 3rd VIZIO TV. We started with a 47"LCD a few years back, then we added a 32"LCD. We saw the promos on the 55"LCD/LED w/apps during this past Super Bowl and we were hooked. I ordered ours on 3-26-10 and it arrived on 4-1-10 from Dell. What a great product, I have no complaints @ all. The only one is that the remote quary board is a little small for my fat fingers. Other than that, we took out the 47" out of the living room for the bedroom, put the 55" in its place and were up and running within about 15 minutes. This picture is the best I have ever seen, and I looked at a lot of competitor products. Way 2 Go Vizio, you guys are the BOMB!

My New Favorite TV Review by TXHotboy

The picture of this TV is amazing. I have a 67" Samsung and it doesn't compare to the quality of this model. I really bought it because of the WI-FI feature. I highly recommend this TV.

PROS:
The internet applications are really cool.
Picture Quality is great. VHS movies look good on it.

CONS:
Had an issue with WI-FI setup because the TV doesn't handle special characters in password.

worth the wait, best LCD for the money Review by watcher

Best Lcd for the money hands down. You won't be disappointed! Blu-Ray and Hi-Def picture are crisp, and compare with Lcds that are a thousand dollars more, and the Vizio has more features! Customer service is excellent. I feel confident that this company and the product support will be around for the long haul.

Amazing Review by Michael

I got my VF552XVT yesterday after waiting for three weeks for it to ship from DELL. All I can say is that it was WELL worth the wait. So simple to set up I had it unpacked and mounted to the wall and connected to the internet in 30 minutes. Once I had it turned on I found it hard to step away it is like watching TV through a window. The sound is equally amazing I would recommend adding the Vizio sound bar and wireless sub, it has made my TV and movie watching experience even better. Oh and to add to it the wireless capabilities are great I have watched movies through NETFLIX and it took less time to load the movie than it did with my DVD player. To sum it up there is no need to shop around, I have and this TV is by far better than the competition in quality and price. Thank You Vizio for this product

Insane Review by cellens

We just bought this tv yesterday. I found myself standing guard outside it's box at the store, to make sure no one would swipe the last one.
We finally got it home to be set up. It was simple, with detailed instructions that were easy to follow.
The internet apps are awesome, and the graphics are even better.
The massive screen engulfs you and I think I'm done with movie theaters.
By far the best tv I've ever owned.
However, I was a little put off by the sound, it could be better.

Overall an A+, would recommend it!

SECOND TV HAS BEEN GREAT Review by Jim

I started with a LEMON and ended up with a Jewel. The first VF552XVT lasted only three hours before the screen went black, lost sound and was looking a big dust collector. Called for tech assistance and was guided through the standard turn on turn off, unplug, with negative results. Was told they would have someone contact me in a day or two, that the set most likely had a defective power supply. The wife unit contacted the sales rep, and he told her that they would arrange for a new TV to be sent right out and the old one was to be picked up at the same time. The new unit arrived as promised, and has been working great ever since. As a VIZIO VIP test person I have enjoyed using this TV and the internet Apps and going through the weekly task. The best picture and sound in a TV I ever owned. I have looked at other TV's that cost twice a much, I still think VIZIO is better. Only one thing I would improve on is making it thinner and less heavy. Great price, great unit, super picture with outstanding features. Highly recommended to friends and family. Thank you for the great customer service and outstanding products and a great price. A very satisfied customer. Jim in VA

Unreal TV Review by Alan

I had been waiting for this TV to come out. I had been reading the reviews of the 551 and when I heard about the 552 I just waited. I had compared the functions with the Samsung 8000 and based on the functions you get and the costs, waiting for the Vizio was a no brainer.
I happened to be selected as a VIA VIP. The Tv came without a dent on the box. The trucking company set it up, made sure it worked and then told me I purchased one of the best tv's they have seen.
The picture and colors are unreal. The set up of the wireless apps went off without a hitch. My wife asked how i could buy a tv without seeing it. She now tells me this is the best electronic purchased i have ever made. She watchs more tv now then ever before. The sharpness and details are amazing.
I was a little disappointed by the sound. It was a little tinny. I know remotes are trying to be kept compact but, it is a little hard to use the top row of the keypad when typing.
I had recommended this tv to two of my friends who also purchased the tv and both are glad of my recommendation.
I look forward to testing out the sound bar, sub woofer and dvd player.
Great product and look forward to a long relationship with Vizio.

Good TV - Need USB ports activated!!! Review by mike

good picture, good sound, good value. They need to activate the USB ports for multimedia (like the USB is on the vf551xvt) - I'm dying without it!!! As more apps are developed, the VIA will only get better.

Great Great Great I love it Review by Tom

I am so happy I got this instead of the 55" samsung. I had a 52" samsung DLP for the last 5 or 6 years , this one is way better. Picture is great , sound needs to be improved a little , but in the newer tv's there isn't much room for speakers. I have a bose cinamax GS hooked up to it. I really enjoy the internet app's. The wireless works GREAT.
I just wish they would give us a better remote with backlights.
It has enough inputs for all the stuff I have to hook up to it.

Ya I saved myself around $1000 buying the Zizo 552.

I am so very happy with it. Got it at Costco, and got an extra year warranty.

You gotta get this one.

VIZI-O-tas-tic from Pikesville, Maryland Review by VIZI-Pikesville Maryland

I had this tv for almost 2 months and its been nice especially the video. I love the TV Apps. I almost didn't wait since the release was pushed several time but I'm glad I waited it out. The wireless connection is awesome...I never had a break with the connection while streaming movies and the quality of the picture was more than I expected. Did I mention the almost video? I think I just did a second time. This tv was easy to setup coming right out of the box. Anyone should be able to set this thing up. I have my tv hooked up to Verizon FIOS. I was honor to have Vizio to select me out of the 300 people who were selected to survey the TV for 6 weeks. I really enjoyed the blue ray movies... I didn't watch a lot of tv until I got this tv and now I will need to make my VA meetings, I'm hooked. My PS3 loves the tv just as much as I do. I've done alot research on this tv and I must say I got a steal. Vizio is a winner! I'm an IT professional, I recommend the VF552XVT, you won't be disappointed just ask my wife Nadia or my son DeVonte, they are lovin this tv.

Thanks you Jesus for making this TV

Awesome Value Review by HappyCamper

I have had my tv since Late January and have used pretty much every Feature it offers. From the Netflix, VUDU, Amazon Streaming, Rhaposdy, etc.

The Scary Part is my 5 year old is already adept at streaming movies and content. Time to turn on the parental controls.

All Work outstanding and were incredibly easy to get setup.

The Picture Quality is absolutely amazing. My Friend who had just bought his More Expensive Samsung is completely jealous!

If i could change one thing about the entire setup it would be the Remote Control. It could be slightly bigger with more tactile buttons and possibly back lighting. However, it is still the best / coolest remote I have used with a TV.

Technical Support Department was outstanding. First time i actually felt like the person on the other phone knew more than me and wasn't just reading a script.

I would rate the TV/Package as a 9.9 with the .1 detraction for the remote control.

I will be buying several More of these for the house!

Excellent Picture - great television Review by Tinman

I've had the VF552XVT for two days now (or about 16 hours of viewing). The only negative I experienced was the longer than expected delivery time. I bought from Costco for the extra year's warranty and also got a great price for the television. I think they in turn ordered directly from the factory. I currently have a Time Warner HD cable box, Samsung DVD/home theater system, Nintendo Wii and a laptop with HDMI output attached to the television. The contrast is amazing. It can go from deep shadow with sharp detail to almost painfully bright with no noticeable bloom effect. With HD 1080p quality input it's almost like looking through a window. I'd read a few reviews that the TV didn't have as much picture control as they would have liked, but either they reviewed a different television - or they didn't realize they could "select/click" things like tint and get more options to chose from. It doesn't need much tweaking though - and actually I've turned DOWN contrast and brightness just a touch - but that will depend on your viewing conditions. I'd originally planned on buying the Samsung B8500 - but now I believe this televison is not only cheaper, but better. Oh - the NETFLIX app worked like a charm and took less than 2 mins for me to set up. I would recommend the extended warranty for this television - and I would also like to see Vizio selling additional/replacement remotes for the TV -- it really is a great remote -- and yes it would be nice if it lit up - but it's fine as it is. I'd just like the opportunity to purchase a second. Oh - the channels do take about 1 second too long to change - but I'm not THAT impatient. (It comes from the television remembering what zoom/pan setting you had for the channel and adjusting to that.)
Oh - regardless of input - I haven't seen any artifacts and only minor, almost unnoticed, blur with high speed movement and low rez (480p or lower) input. I give the television a 9.75 out of 10.

AMAZING!!!!!! Review by Jackie10579

I love this TV. I was dying for it to get here, and it just arrived yesterday. I had to wait a few hours for it to warm up from the truck and I was pacing almost every second. I had to go out and run errands to make the time fly by. I have it hooked up with the Vizio Sound bar and subwoofer and I am in love with Vizio. They have come a LONG way. Just get the facebook app and we will be all set :o) I also have a 26" LCD in my daughters room.
Only thing is the apps seem to lag just a tiny bit sometimes and I think that when I got online with my computer it lost connection so apparently I'm going to have to get a dual band router? So I saw in another review...but thats ok.... and it is a bit thick compared to most other tvs, but for half the price I'll take the extra inch or two.
This Vizio replaced a Samsung Plasma (PN50A650) and I honestly think this blows that plasma out of the water, and it will cost a WHOLE bunch less to run and wont heat my living room up 5 degrees so I have to crank the A/C more in the Summer either!

If I could get signed up on the app trial team and get something for free since I have purchased so much from them that would be nice too :o)

I purchased mine through Dell for $1999 less 15% discount and 5% tax so I only paid around $1750 and free shipping to boot!!! They also used Pilot freight and there wasn't even a dent in the box at all!!! Last year when I ordered my plasma the box was all dinged up and they had a packing thing in it to let you know if it had been banged around it would explode and it even had exploded, although the tv was fine I wasn't impressed.

I could go on for days about how much I love this tv, but I wont. Just buy one, its worth EVERY cent!!!

Excellent Review by hooder

I have two Vizios. A 37" and this VF552XVT 55". I have had many TVs in my lifetime, but the Vizio is the best ever. Picture perfect, excellent quality and the best deal in town.
I rate it AAAAA and then some!!

Holy WOW! Review by DC

We just got our VF552XVT last week (2/17/10). We were interested in a few of the apps and the overall picture quality for the buck. The TV typically gets negative reviews for the look of the silver sound bar and what not, but really, the way to deal with that is make sure there is a silver accent in your entertainment equipment like the knobs on the cabinet doors or the shelves or something. It helps make it look more fitting. Otherwise, I don't think the sound bar is a big deal, although, yes, I would probably have prefered it was black. The frame around the tv is not flat smooth, but it is glossy, so if there is light coming in accross the room from the front of the tv, there is an annoying wavy reflection surrounding the TV. Visio must make this matte finish or make sure the surface is perfectly flat.

Inputs:
The inputs are plenty and excellent. I had to get the component video cable for my Wii as the A/V input won't show the picture in widescreen. I thought that was weird as my other Widescreen HDTV worked fine with the composite cable. Eitherway, everyone with a Wii needs to get the component video cable for their Wii as it is only $6. I have not played with the USB inputs yet and am a little worried as I have not seen the input as selectable on the TV menus yet... .but I will be testing them soon.

VIA
The wireless connection was an absolute cinch! No genious stuff required. Just be ready to follow all the instructions and make sure your wireless is ready to go when the TV first boots up... the prompting screens make things much easier. I'm running an old 802.11g wireless router and everything is working perfectly. We have not had two appliances streaming at the same time yet, but I will upgrade to a dual band router if I have to...
The APPS! are done very well. For most people, many of the apps will seem far fetched as they have monthly fees or exepensive 1 time movie costs... but if money is no object then you'll love them. The NETFLIX app makes the TV worth every penny. I love the finance, ebay, and weather apps... and my wife is looking forward every day to the Facebook app getting uploaded. Yes - Vizio advertises like the TV already has the Facebook App - but its not quite ready yet. They have assured me it will be here soon. Otherwise, VIZIO needs to have a free radio streaming app... oh yeah, Pandora is another one that is advertised but is not installed yet. Just give it time I guess.

The Sound:
I cannot decide yet. Sometimes it sounds room filling surround like... and then other times I all of a sudden can't hear the TV and have to turn it up. I think the tru-surround software may have upgrades coming, but as most people say, a good surround system is the only way to get super excellent sound in a room. I am still on the fence about the sound, as it might just be me and my lowsy hearing!!

And finally - THE PICTURE:
I cannot say enough here. It is absolutely fantastic. We sit about 13 feet from the TV and the picture quality is sooo real. It is going to take some getting used to as each HD show or movie is so crystal clear and perfect. My hat is off to Vizio. I did several months of TV research before buying this TV thru Costco.com. I was worried, because I hadn't seen the TV in a store yet, only the 551. I figured I had 90 days to try it out and if the picture quality isn't worth $2k, then I will take it back. But let me tell you... the picture quality is worth $3 to 4k! I would put this up against the Samsung LED anyday. Unless you need the super thin TV, which I didn't, the Vizio LED is hands down the way to go. I have watched NETFLIX accross the internet and between Vizio and Netflix, they got it figured out. The streaming is still compressed at somepoint, but the uncompression is unbelievable. And Live Antenna 1080i (Olympics, Prime Time TV, News, etc..) is mind boggling sweet. I have never in my life seen an house hold TV image so perfect.

The Remote:
Yes - the bluetooth remote and keyboard is sweet. We love it. The remote itself could use a tune up as the tactile-ness is way sub par, especially as it compares to the latest universal remotes - since it doubles as one. But yes, the remote quickly learned my other devices and controls them quite well so that was a big score for us. Plus the feature of the remote you use the most - the arrow, vol, channel and VIA buttons are plenty discernable and are nicely soft to touch. The remote could also use a glow or light function. I don't know why all remotes don't have this feature by now, it is nice to have, - but not a show stopper when you don't have it.

In summary. This TV is Holy WOW!
But Vizio needs to keep working the APPS and maybe the Sound. I signed up for the VIA VIP Program but have not been selected. I hope I do, because I could use the sound bar maybe.

Awesome Product Review by Jaime

First off I traded in a samsung pb58550 for this TV. The picture on the Samsung was amazing but I have a PS3 and image retention was an issue even after 300 hours of break in time. I would have to run the scrolling at night for two hours for the picture to be perfect the following day. So I wanted a TV with an awesome picture and no burn in. I found this Vizio with locally dimming LEDs, built in WIFI, 240hz, 2000000 to 1 contrast ratio, and bluetooth/IR universal remote for $1999 (VIA program) and I was done. Its a good $1500 less than a comprably equipped sony or samsung. The Picture on this TV is great Bluray movies, My PS3, and DirecTV all look stunning. All the features work without a hitch Netflix HD movies downloaded off the TV are my favorite and have amazing pic quality and blurring is not an issue to my surprise (After everthing I read on TVs). Plus the remote it comes with allows me to control my Sony DVD home theatre system and my DirecTV HD DVR. Love the TV. If you cant do a plasma for its image retention issues but still want an awesome picture this is your TV. Oh and Customer service has been excellent!!

Amazing TV Review by DR

I have had this TV since the middle of January as a participant in the Vizio VIA VIP Program.

I am extremely happy with this purchase. The TV does everything it touts itself to do. The initial set up was incredibly simple. My wireless internet access works flawlessly and overall, its kindof fun just to poke around with all the VIA apps to see what they do.

Only improvement wish would be to have a "lighted" keypad / keyboard on the remote.

Other wish (question?) I have is the current Vizio Commercial shows that Pandora and Facebook as available VIA apps, but my TV does not have them. Anybody else with this issue? Anyone know when they will be released if they have not yet been?

In recap. if you are in the market for this type of TV, you will not be disappointed with your purchase. After months of researching these TV's, it is my personal opinion, that this is the BEST TV on the market, by far, for the money!

Wish I had one Review by ViziDizi

I wish you lucky reviewers would tone it down a bit for us guys on the outside looking
in. I am drooling with anticipation ...but am afraid it will not be until March when it shows up in St. Louis.

Anyone interested in a short term lease arrangement for the Olympics?

Fantastic piece of technology Review by Dwayne

I am an IT professional, but even so, it seems that I am often dissatisfied with many of my technology purchases. That is definately not the case with my new VF552XVT.

After reading about this TV on CNET, I waited several months for it to become available. I'm glad that I did. Not only is this a great TV, but I am still amazed that I got it for such a low price!

The setup app was a breeze to use. When you select an input, the app asks for the type and brand of the attached device, then AUTOMATICALLY configures the remote to control the device. My DirecTV DVR works FLAWLESSLY with the Vizio remote, as does my Sony Blueray player.

I must say that I was just astounded with the video quality that I experienced when I turned on this set. Even streaming video from the Internet looks great. I really didn't expect much from streamed video, but it is very similar in quality to the HD programming offered by DirectTV. I am using a standard DSL line, and there is no delay, no ghosting, and no diminished video quality - IT JUST WORKS.

If you are considering this television, take my word for it - you will LOVE your new VIZIO. I certainly do!

incredible picture Review by Alan

I received my TV about 10 days ago and it is simply amazing. Set up was a snap. The internet stuff is really cool.

The picture is so incredible that I find myself being awed by the picture quality and not really paying attention to the content of the show I'm watching.

This is my second Vizio TV and the brand really is second to none.

Stunning Review by bullet

I have also been waiting for quite a while for this TV. I've had it for about a week now, and it is simply amazing! It is very easy to setup and connect multiple devices. It was also very easy to configure the remote to my other devices. The picture quality is great! I used the recommended settings on cnet.com for the VF551VXT. After watching the first part of Rise of the Lycans, I was very satisfied with my decision to purchase this tv. The black levels are very good, especially viewing the tv from direct view. The black levels are somewhat degraded at off angle viewing, but that is expected. I'm looking forward to seeing what Vizio has in store for the future of this tv!

Amazing Picture - Easy Useful Apps - Priced Right Review by Obi1234

I spent several months researching before deciding on Vizio, went to all the retail stores and checked out the others features vs price points. I could see no reason to spend more because the Vizio HDTV has almost every feature I was shopping for but with a much smaller price tag.

I am participating in the VIA VIP program, and thus able to purchase the 552VXT directly from Vizio in mid Jan. 2010. I've had the set for almost a week and it exceeds my expectations so far. I ordered directly from Vizio and it has been a good experience. I recommend the 552VXT.

The stand is attached already - set it in place, plug it in, and the guided on-screen setup has you going in short order (and it's easy enough even for the technophobic). Answer the questions, add your devices when prompted, and before you know it you are ready to roll.

Picture quality is simply amazing - it's 55"'s of pure "wow". Built-in wireless N is solid. Internet widgets are fun and useful - Netflix streaming and weather are my favorites. The blue tooth remote with qwerty keyboard operates every device I have - but buttons are hard to find with no light/glow. Lots of connection options. 1920x1080 resolution on HTPC via VGA input @ 5ms response is stunning.
The feature that equalizes show and commercials volume is something I'll never be without again. It just makes sense to give this brand a try and I'm truly happy I did.

I'm really happy that I waited for this model. I

Simply WOW!!! Review by Static

I just had wrist surgery so I will keep this short and simple...

Easy on screen step-by-step setup & installation
Easy networking
Simple screen navigation
Great sound and amazing picture

I have never owned a vizio, but if all of their products are this quality then consider them my new video vendor. I am thoroughly impressed and you will be too.

Just Awesome Review by Kev

Got my TV on the 20th. Set was easy with all connections very easy to get to. As far as the picture quality all I can say is WOW. It is the best TV I ever seen. Once I got all my HD stuff set up the picture is even better than what I saw in the store. You can not get a better TV picture for the money period. Blu-Ray is unbelievable it almost looks 3D. It takes some getting use to because I have never experienced a picture that clear and vivid. My only drawback about the TV would be the sound. Not bad by any means but not great. I plan on getting a surround sound anyway so that is not a big deal to me. Again for anyone thinking about buying this TV it is well worth it and for the money you can not beat the deal. I have already hooked up 2 of my friends to this TV and they are just as impressed as I am.

Great picture and viewing angle Review by D-ROCK

I have been using this TV for a few days and the angles are great! Everyone can enjoy the TV in the room. The colors are very vibrant and the VIA features create a nice all inclusive solution to those wanting to use internet multimedia features. The setup menu is easy to use and executed well. I went over six months without a TV since I knew this one was coming out and it was well worth the wait.

If I had to give this TV one complaint it is the remote. While intuitive it could be a little better. It performs and functions great especially for having a built in keyboard and Bluetooth connectivity but the halves will sometimes slide while using it depending how you hold it. Also with the placement of the battery cover you can feel it flex while in use. This is by no means a show stopper on this set I just feel they could have gone with a more sleeker design that possibly has a detent to lock the remote in the closed position.

Over all I give this set a 9 out of 10. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is due to the two faults of the remote. I know Vizio is coming out with other remotes soon and I'm sure they will take care of my complaints. This is a great TV and truly shows that Vizio is in this market for the long haul. I look forward to updates and features to come on this set. Great job Vizio!

Outperformed Review by RC

Sharp picture, best sound among all the competetor flat panel LED tv's and amazing technology. Very user friendly connections, movie streaming and APPS are a breeze. Kudos to Vizio, you outperformed my expectations. More upgrades down the line will be you even tougher to swallow.

great product Review by james

this product is amazing. talk about picture quality...the colors are so bright and clear it blows my mind. set up was a breeze and the apps have worked just fine so far. i was selected for the vip program and was able to get the tv for a cheaper price and after completing the 6 weeks of surveys vizio will throw in a blu-ray player and a sound bar. i mean you can't ask for a better deal then that. but i would have purchased this tv for the regular price because i know vizio makes good products. this is a great tv for a great price that is far below all the other companies prices.

the only thing that has thrown me off is that the side buttons are on the left side of the tv and on my 42" and my 32" vizios the buttons are on the right. not a big deal just have to get used to the button placement. great work on this tv vizio!!!!!!

Great Product! Review by Murlin

So far, this product does everything it claimed it would do! Picture is great and HDMI connections are a snap. (This is after fussing with 5 sets of speaker wires and other multiple-wire hookups in past televisons for many years. I love HDMI. It is one-wire simple, and works cleanly.)
Colors are very bright and lifelike. I haven't fussed with the adjustments yet, and my wife has warned me not to mess with anything.
Congrats to Visio for a very-well engineered product. I do look forward to familiarizing myself with all its features - once I can separate my wife from it.

Simply Awesome! Review by Mike

This is the deal people, you have to really see this tv all hooked up to enjoy it's superb quality, the HD is amazing opposed to it's competitors for a much better price. I've done some serious research before buying this tv and took a shot and very happy I did. The customer service is good too, no long waiting on the phone which is a pleasure and the results you hope to expect. VIA is awesome and so easy to set up and work. Vizio, the american tv company, keep the products coming.....you guys rule!

Great TV Review by Steve

I have been waiting on this TV for months and have had it for 5 days now. It was delivered on time and installation was very easy. It connected to my wireless network with just a few keystrokes. The only problem I had with installation was that it had only one component input and I needed two! Not a big deal, just having to wait on my HDMI cables to be delivered to complete the installation of my DVD player.

Would I buy it again? Absolutely!

This is the BEST Review by Rick

Wow, I received my new VF552XVT and it is the bomb. The set up was easy, the apps work great, and the picture is AWESOME. No problem connecting to my secure home WiFi network. This is my second Vizio (I have the SV471XVT), and have no issues at all. The remote for the 552 is cool, and I have been having so much fun with it. My family and I are still looking at the TV with our mouths open.........
I can't wait to place more Vizio products in my home!

Great Product - Beyond Expectations Review by Kelly

Vivid picture, VCR tapes look high def, DVD crystal clear, high def. exceptional. Shades of eye color and ladies eyeliner can be seen, glistening hair as if they were standing in front of you. Setup was a breeze, guided and intuitive wireless N connection was simple. All this and more features for half the price of its competitors.

Best Quality Picture in the Market Review by Ray

I have had my 552 for three days now and it is perfect. The set up was simple and the VIA apps are not only slick but useful. The one thing is the picture, I own an LG 120 and a Sharp 120 by far the 552 outperforms those sets. My wife even says everything looks too real, hats off to the folks at VIZIO. Vizio is longer just the company that is equal to the market but less expensive, it has set the bar in performance, features and price for everyone else to strive for.

This is a GREAT LED HDTV !! Review by Marvin

I have been waiting for this 55" HDTV since last years CES show. I got the HDTV today and it is great. The picture quality is outstanding and the widgets work thru 802.11N WIFI, so no Ethernet cable to run to it. (Check out all of the Widgets that come installed) The setup is so easy, the onscreen display walks you thru it step by step.

Before you by another brand do yourself a favor a check this one out, there are lots of features on this one that the others don't offer. The remote slides open to give you a QWERTY keyboard on the remote.

I am one Happy Vizio Customer !!!
