I have to say that I was a samsung guy, until I got this great tv. I have a samsung 47 in in my bedroom, I have the 55in vizio in the living room. I have to say that the Vizio is a much better tv. Thank You Vizio for making a great tv. I'm a Vizio guy now.

We use to be hard core Sony TV owners. When our 55 inch Sony took a dump, we purchased our third Vizio television. (the other two are smaller models).

We are very pleased with this unit. The picture and features are excellent and for the price in comparison to Sony, Samsung and Sharp you can't beat it.

One piece of advice to buyers - be sure to hook it up with an HDMI cable - it works much better and even has a better picture HDMI cable hookup

You can't go wrong with this TV

I just bought this model. I do have to say I am very impressed and satisfied with the purchase I made. The tv is very clear. I'm also a gamer. And I do have to say that the games for my xbox 360 are very clear. I play a lot of shooters, and I was intrigued to find out that the tv had a game mode which took away the on screen lag. Thanks vizio for making a tv for me.

Reluctant but happy choice Review by Alejandro

Originally I did some shopping around and liked the feedback I read on this device. I wanted to go with something smaller but my wife talked me into getting a bigger model than we previously had. As soon as I turned it on I was in love. The picture quality is great and it makes all of those HD products and services we have worth it. I've had this TV now for about six months and I love it.

I was walking through Wal-mart...took a short cut through electronics and BAM there it was...all by itself...I pointed to an employee asked what was wrong with it since it was clearance and they said nothing so I bought it right then and called my husband with joy...
We have never been so excited to disconnect our 10year old 42" tube tv.
It's amazing and for the price we paid for 55 inches of absolute awesome TV...we've made a lot of people jealous :)

Just purchused this tv yesterday,it has amazing sound and picture.I went from a 48 inch projection screen JVC to a 42 inch VIZIO.And the picture is so much better,the sound is better than any lcd on the market!Even though i sacraficed a little in size i gained a 100% better picture.My friend owns a 46inch samsung,and i honestly think my picture and sound is just as good if not better?I am very pleased with this tv and would recomend it to everyone,read the reviews on vizio,and you will be a believer as well.I did my homework on this tv best price and quality on the market!

Upgraded from a 32" Sony projection TV circa 2004. I don't watch enough TV to justify spending thousands on one. This one, at $998, won me over. If not for this TV, it might have been a very long time before I made the move to a big flat screen TV.

I couldn't be happier with the quality of both the sound and the picture. While there are obviously (technically) better quality TVs out there (LED, 3D, Vizio and otherwise) this one is more than enough for me, and more than I expected for the price.

I absolutely love this TV.

I had been looking at tvs for about a year and was leaning toward getting the Sanyo 50" plasma. While looking at all the tvs Walmart got this one and from the moment I saw it I fell in love with it. The price ranged from $1,298 to $898. When I finally got it, I paid $998. After a week of it sitting in the box at home, we got our entertainment center. I put it all together and put the tv up. I stood back and said WOW, it freakin huge. haha The next day I got it hooked up and turned on and couldnt believe the difference in my 47" rear projection tv. We put a movie on and the picture was almost unreal looking it was so clear. I LOVE this tv and am so happy I got it. Ready to watch the Super Bowl now.

I just bought this TV last week on clearance @ Wal-Mart for $700!!!!!!! I was a bit concerned about the quality because of the brand and the fact it was a clearance item. After taking it home, my husband and I turned it on and were amazed by the quality of this product. Clarity in picture and sound? You can't beat that!!!!! So happy!!!!!

I love our new Vizio. There was no comparison when looking at the different brands side by side for picture clarity. This one beat them all hands down. It's sound is great and the HD feature really does make a difference. Don't hesitate if you are considering purchasing this tv. We paid $999.99 for ours at Walmart and it was worth every penny. I love the surround sound and color clarity. Get it, you won't be sorry.

After standing in Walmart (several times over a 2 month span) comparing to other models in the store, we finally broke down and purchased the Vizio E550VL. We bought it the week before Christmas for 998.00. The settings were already perfect. The sound is great already, but we may buy the surround sound system after we build our entertainment center. Somebody said they couldn't fit it in their Explorer, well, we have an Explorer 4 door XLS and the TV fit perfect with the box standing somewhat slanted. Excellent buy.This TV is awesome. Picture quality with the HD programming on your satellite service, is amazing. Pictures are still clear without it, but I would highly recommend adding it to your monthly service, so you can truly appreciate it's HD quality.

We just finally upgraded from a 52" projection tv to the 55" LCD Vizio. Did alot of looking around, reading reviews, comparing prices and sizing, and wether or not to go with the LED/LCD. I am so happy with our choice. Almost went with the 47" but for some reason I couldn't get out of my head that even though we had a projection tv and no matter what the size, the LCD looks so much better but I couldn't go from a 52" to a 47". My fiance thought I was nuts lol but I really wanted to UPGRADE in size also. We are both happy that we chose this one. The picture quality is amazing!! As a girl, I also learned what to look for like the contrast ratio, Hz, 1080p, HDMI. We bought this model at walmart for $998.00 with the extended service plan. I stood in walmart staring at each screen and I kept going back to this model (E550VL). I honestly thought it had the best picture. We have all sony products (ps3, surround sound) so we initially wanted to go with a sony bravia but the reviews were not as good as the vizios and clearly, the vizio had a better picture. That is why I wanted to write this to encourage people to go with a VIZIO!!! Set up was quick. My fiance and my brother had it all hooked up to everything up and running in a half hour. Works perfect with our HD cable, surround sound, and playstation. Fist movie we watched was Prince of Persia on blueray. I felt like I was at the movie theater!! I can't say enough about this tv. Just very happy, excited, and very pleased with our purchase!! Thank you. :)

The Best Picture Quality Review by Tonycappri

I have been updating my televisions from rear projection to flat screens. I have a Samsung, Sharp and Sony. This television replaced the 55" Hatachi rear projection I had in my bedroom. I researched the television and saw no negative comments concerning it. I watched the price at my local samsclub and on the day I went to purchase it samsclub had reduced the price by $100.00. Samsclub also offered 0 percent finacing so it was a win win situation. The best buy I made all year and the picture quality is the best of any set I currently on.

Just bought the TV today and couldn't wait to get it home and hooked up. Watched the Seattle and NO game...WOW! Right from the start it is 100x times better than my old one. I have an Directv HD DVR which works beautiful with the tv. The picture and sound are incredible. Cannot wait to hook it up to a home theatre system and see what more it can do. Will follow up!

My parents purchased this TV for my wife and I this Christmas, and I am so impressed with the picture quality and sound. We rushed out and got all of the HD cables needed to view this TV to its full potential.

This is the best TV we have ever owned, the quality is superb, and the size is phenomenal! The only problem we have is that my wife is prone to motion sickness and has to take anti-nausea pills when watching action movies due to the clarity and size of the screen! I'm sure she will get over it though!

Vizio Got my Attention - Great TV!!!! Review by Doc

I received my TV on Friday, couldn’t wait to set it up, and when I did, I was amazed by the picture quality. I replaced a Samsung in my HT room and that was the best decision I ever did, other tha marying my wife....of course.... I owned Panasonic and Samsung in the past and while shopping for a TV on Black Friday, I was concern with the prices on those models and someone advised I should take a hard look at Vizio and I'm glad I did. You can't beat the quality and price on this Gem!!! I'm not a big gamer, so the 3 HDMI ports are sufficient, glad to see Vizio included an optical-audio port. It was compatible with my older receiver. Can't wait to upgrade my receiver so I can start enjoying to great movies and sports...

Way to go Vizio!!! You got a new customer.... and here is my advice to new customers on the fence.... Take a hard look at Vizio products you’ll be amazed....

I HAD RENTED A 60" MITSUBISHI 1080P 120HZ TV FROM AARONS AND WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THE SOUND ( THE SPEAKERS RATTLED AT 3/4 VOLUME ) SO I RETURNED IT AND WENT TO MY LOCAL WAL-MART AND BOUGHT THIS UNIT AND NOT ONLY IS THE SOUND EXCELLENT BUT THE PICTURE IS MUCH BETTER. I HAVE NEVER OWNED ANY VIZIO PRODUCTS BEFORE BUT THIS ONE HAS ME SOLD ON THEIR PRODUCTS ! I PLAN ON BUYING THE VSB210WS SOUND SYSTEM FOR IT NEXT MONTH, ALTHOUGH IT REALLY DOESN'T NEED IT BUT FIGURE IF IT SOUND THIS GOOD WITH OUT IT JUST THINK HOW IT WOULD SOUND WITH IT ! Bought this tv from Wal Mart site to store at an unbelievable price. Took me awhile to get the picture i wanted, wound up hitting the reset button and found out the factory settings are the best. You can!t beat this tv for the price. Great picture and not too bad sound. I also have a 32in vizio i use for my PC monitor and love it. I would not hesitate to recomend a Vizio to anyone.

I bought mine at wal-mart, it had the brightest and clearest picture of any on the wall! The dvd's I play on it are so realistic coming close to 3-d and sometimes the sound seems to be coming from everywhere in the room (you have to set the audio controls to ON for surround sound). I am upgrading to Direct tv's full HD satelite signal for a truly HD experience! (I have older dvd movies so I bought an upconverting dvd player and it really changes the images up to 1080 p. Would recommend this tv to anyone who is wanting to upgrade their veiwing experience!

The price was great for a 55in and the picture is really great coming from a rear projector.
But the sound is not there where I thought it was going to be so I would think about getting a surround sound system also other than that so far so good.

My best friend owns a Samsung 52" TV and we watched the Dallas Cowboys play every sundays on it since the season started. I purchased this Vizo 55" Tv and we now watch the games at my house because the picture is better and the larger screen. Overall the TV has performed excellent. I purchased it from Wal Mart and had to leave and go get my son-in-law with a truck to take it home. The box it was packed in was so large it wouldn't fit in my Explorer. I wanted to set the TV on in a entertainment center (not wall mounted) so having the stand already installed on the TV made it easy. The only problem I had was finding an entertainment center large enough to fit the TV. Most centers were too small to fit such a large set so it took a bit of shopping to find on the size I needed that the wife liked also.

Comparing it to my neighbors Vizio, that he brought because I talked about it so much, His picture is better and it makes me want to go upgrade. But for the price of this 55" I can't be mad. I have 3 more to get and my house will be filled with Vizio TV's.

This TV has such a good picture in plain digital I'm just about to use DTV instead of HD, naaa!
I am really pleased at the technology built in and the quality is great.
My only problem was the weight-I believe that the weight is comparable to other LCDs of this size but I had to set it up onto the shelf by myself "OOOMPH".
I should've got help but I couldn't wait any longer and I found out that the weight and grunt was well worth it!!!

This is the first hdtv we have ever bought. We have had our last box set tv for 9 years and were in desperate need of a new one. We got ours at wal-mart for a great price and we love, love, love it! I did quite a bit of research online before this purchase and I am so happy that we got this. We also didn't know we would need to get hdmi cords but we have dish and they provided them for us. The picture is great, crisp, low glare if I even notice it. Great TV!

I purchased this from Costco and couldn't be happier. Price was decent, size is great. Since buying my first Vizio LCD several years ago, this purchase is now my 6th Vizio TV.

This TV is priced less compared to other brands, the picture, in my opinion is the same if not better than more expensive brands.

My only complaint is that the screen shows some glare. I'd expect this from an entry level 55" LCD though. Everything else about this TV is good to great.

If you purchase this TV, it is my belief that you won't be disappointed.
