- Awesome TV Review by Michelle

I just purchased this TV and love it. It picked up my wireless connection immediately even though I don't have a special network for it. I had the TV up and running in about 15 minutes. It took some tweaking to get the colors correct but once I did that, it has a beautiful picture. I especially like that you can set the horizontal/vertical size to match your screen. I had ordered a different TV from a different company which was horrible and I returned it immediately. That one couldn't stay connected to the internet. This is my first VIZIO and they come highly recommended. I think that for the price this is a very good buy. I'm getting everything I want at a great price. If you're undecided get this TV you won't be disappointed!

- $500 TV Review by Jim
-
I have looked at a variety of TV's over the last 3 months and it seems there are always trade-offs between one mfg. and another. I want smart/internet TV with a solid, rich, LED high def (1080P) picture. But I also want a good array of inputs and outputs - IDEAL INPUTS: 3 HDMI, 1 component, 1 composite, 1 VGA for a PC connection, 1 RCA audio input, IDEAL OUTPUTS: Digital audio out, RCA audio out, and HDMI ARC. Good luck finding that TV...
I bought a Samsung 5300 Smart TV- NICE, superior picture, superior GUI and apps, but it lacked the inputs and outputs. Gave that TV to my girlfriend because it was too cool to return.
I bought the Vios e420ia0 because it has digital and RCA audio outs. The picture is not as rich as Samsung's, but it is a good picture for the money (a little bright for my taste, but still top flight 1080P). The app, and the GUI are "O.K" and hopefully the TV will update to install Redbox and Cinema Now soon. The remote control is pretty cheap, small, and hard to read, but it works O.K. Samsung's remotes are backlit, and superior in every way. I am sure a nice universal remote can fix this problem.
All in all, a decent TV for the money. And for those die hard analog people who still use their tube/transitor stereo's for sound, RCA audio outs are a dying breed and this TV has them.... SOLD!

- Just what I needed Review by TXranger
-
Can't think of anything bad to say... except, finding other remotes that have Vizio codes is difficult.
Otherwise, installation, wireless, etc., was a breeze.
I actually bought this one because it still had the old school analog sound outputs that I needed.(Posted on 3/25/13)
- E420i-A0 Meets and Exceeds Expectations Review by JR
-
I specifically purchased the E420i-A0 because it’s a 42” 120Hz LCD TV and not specifically for the Smart TV features. For the money, the picture quality is excellent. I can’t imagine finding many other TV’s at this price with as crisp and clear of a picture. Out of the box I didn’t like the sound. After some menu adjustments, I made it sound like what I was expecting. I feel the sound meets my expectations but doesn’t exceed them. I like that it has an optical audio out, so the digital audio going into my TV can all go in one wire to my receiver. The remote is sub-par and Vizio should re-design the remote so it matches the quality of their TV’s. I use a Universal remote, so the Vizio remote won’t be used. Overall I would give this TV 4 ½ out of 5 stars, and I would recommend it. The remote is lacking, but everything else meets or exceeds my expectations for a TV at this price.

- 42" LED smart TV for under $550 Review by Stem
-
The reason I say under $550 is to cover the taxes etc. I really didn't need wifi on my tv because I have it on my Roku box and vizio dvd player but I figured why not (I may want to hang it a bedroom one day and not have wires everywhere). I looked around at Samsung, LG and other brands but been pretty happy with Vizio (I own 3 others) so thought I would keep it in the family. The screen size is pretty nice and the frame is not that thick so you get more screen. The wifi works well so far but I really haven't played with it too much. I would say this is a good bang for the buck especially with the wifi built in and 120 hz
