Great Picture with New LED HDTV Review by ZAMBONGA

Super Sharp Picture. Great Color. The stand was put on securely with only one screw and no tool needed. the manual was very good. The sound was much better than I had hoped for. The picture looks outrageous. The LED trechnolgy make the pciture super clear and bright. But not bright enough to be distracting.The screen is not super glossy and overly reflective like some TV's I have seen. If I were an actor I would not want to see myself closeup on this TV. It is so sharp you see every line and fine detail in a persons face. There are plenty of controls to adjust the picture. Maybe too many if you are the type that likes to adjust the controls I was able to register my product and purcahse an additional 1 yr waranty direct from VIZIO.com. I highly recommend this TV. The 37 " size is perfect.

Great Picture With LED technology Review by nycsoftwareman

This VIZIO E370VP is an Edge Lit 1080p LED LCD HDTV. I am basing this review solely on the $480 on salep rice that I paidat VIZIO.com. If I had paid the full $600 retail price VIZIO.com asks for a new unit. Then the review would probably have been that it's not worth the money. But I would only say that because there's no internet connectivity and it only has a 60 MHz Refresh rate. Most LCD HDTVs in the $600 price range have either Wi-Fi or a 120 MHz refresh rate. The higher the refresh rate the less likely you are to see blurring in fast moving picture sources.

Since Vizio sells their TVs mostly through TARGET & WALMART and I don't live near either store. I was unable to find a VIZIO TV in the stores I would normally buy a TV from. So I bought this unit online, sight unseen. This meant using only online information to decide my purchase. Vizio answered any questions I had quickly and informatively. The TV arrived safely and attachted securely to its stand with only one screw and without the need for any tool.

Vizio calls this the "RAZOR" model. The picture truly is razor sharp. It is a 1080p LED "Edge Lit LED" TV. This means it is supposed to be more energy efficient. As well as providing a brighter and sharper picture. It is easy see the improved picture benefits of the LED technology on the VIZIO E370VP. The LED HDTVs are also much thinner than the LCDs. The EV370P has a depth of only 1.9 inches and weighs just 20lbs. When you first turn on the Vizio EV370P it will find and recognize your connected components. This allows the TV to automatically switch to the desired input that matches the component in use. Most HDTV's only do this with components that are of the same brand as the TV.

I also own a 3 year old 32" HDTV which is not a VIZIO.. When looking at both TVs using the same picture source. I could clearly see how much more accurate the VIZIO EV370P picture was. The colors were bolder and more accurate. The picture is sharper, brighter, and has better contrast . The viewing angle is perfect from any place in the room you watch it. There are just so many picture settings it would take an entire page to describe them all. The manual is well written ,but doesn't go into any technical detail about what most of the advanced picture settings actually do.

My favorite of all the various picture controls is the "ADAPTIVE LUMINA". Which as four different settings. Although the manual doesn't give much detail of what this does. When set to on while watching a very dark picture source. I see the contrast become much more detailed. I noticed deeper blacks and brighter whites. Which is exactly what Vizio claims the E370VP offers.

One very important setting is the FILM MODE. This is more commonly known as the 24fps setting. (24 frames per second) If you want the "look of film", then 24p setting is important, because it reproduces the 24fps of the theater. If you are a blu ray video viewer, then this setting will make your movies look smoother and more film like.As opposed to looking like the movie was shot on video. This should be a standard feature in all HDTVS ,but it's not. It was the main reason I choose this TV over others for the price I paid.

My least favorite of all the picture settings are those it has for individual sports. Such as GOLF, BASKETBALL, etc. I didn't find these settings accurate at all. I would rather just set it to "custom" and adjust the controls individually. There are color temperature controls to adujst the red, green and blue colors indepedent of the basic color control. I found lowering the red setting produced the best results. This made the color red is more accurate without affecting the overall color intensity of the picture. The Vizio E370VP has an ambient light sensing technology that automatically adjusts backlight levels based on the lighting in the room. When the room is very dark I set that to on. So the brightness is not too overwhelming.

The remote is small and fits in the palm of your hand. It will also automatically control your Blu-Ray/DVD player and some cable boxes. Some users may feel it's too small. But I prefer the more compact sized remotes. The audio as on most of the new thinner LED/LCD TV's leaves something to be desired. But it does have SRS HD Surround Sound, and a customizable five band equalizer. The TV has an optical audio output for connection to a soundbar or a receiver. There are no RCA audio output connections, but there is a mini-jack headphone input. Among the important video connectivity inputs there are three HDMI inputs and one USB input.

Thes VIZIO E370VP has a fantastic picture with enough different picture controls to keep even the serious picture tweaker happy. For the $480 price I paid it is a great deal.
In summary I love the TV and am truly amazed at the great picture it delivers .It is an unbeatable deal for the sale price.

Worth the Find Review by NYCSOFTWAREMAN

The TV arrived from Vizio safely and connected securely to the stand with only one screw and no need for any tools. It worked as well as described by user reviews and Vizio information. It would have been nice if the TV had Internet Apps for the original retail price. But for the sale price Vizio now has it made the price more reasonable. The TV connected to the stand securely with only one screw. I had to make some minor color temperature adjustments right after I turned it in for the first time. I turned down the red and green color gain and it looked great. There are so many picture controls on this TV that it is a picture tweakers delight. The TV finds any connected components, and the Vizio remote controls them. Most other TV's only control only components of the same brand. The manual was well written and appreciated. Except for a few minor references to controls that are not on this particular model .But some companies are doing away with written manuals entirely. So I was happy that Vizio included such an informative manual. The sound is much better than I expected. The picture looks equal to many higher priced TVs I have seen in stores. The LCD screen is not overly glossy and reflective which is very important. The Picture quality is great no matter what the lighting conditions are in your room. There are so many different controls for adjusting the brightness and contrast. So I am still trying to find what I like best. But for most users you could just set all the controls at their default and still have a great picture. I don’t know if it is the LED technology that makes the picture so bright and sharp. However it is done, it’s done well. I highly recommend this TV.

Fantastic TV Review by FC

I've owned a Vizio 37 in LCD tv for 4 yrs, and loved it. Looked at this tv for 2 weeks at Target,they had 5, and finally decided to buy it,the last one they had. Took it home ;plugged it in and WOW!! what a beautiful picture.Had to play with the sound a little but once set it 's pretty good too.I just gave the LCD to my son !!! Most of all the price was fantastic (429)

WOW WOW WOW! I got my new TV for Superbowl Sunday to Watch the NEW YORK GIANTS go at it for the BIG WIN, and all I can say is that I am already a BIG WINNER in buying this TV. I wanted to buy a 32 inch TV for my apartment and ended up getting the VIZIO 37inch LED/LCD RAZOR, I knew a little bit about the VIZIO brand (which is more than I can say about the sales rep at Target who knew nothing about this brand and actually gave me misinformation until I educated HIM on the brand) So I knew that I had a quality product and with the price point being right up my alley I knew I had to bring this one home. VIZIO is the "little brand that COULD" it clearly out performs and if you are looking for a Return to Pitch Black look no further...Kudos VIZIO on a job well done!

Got one must have been boxed wrong speakers cracked when turned up. took it back and got and lcd vizio 40 inch. After seeing the picture on the led we decided to go back and buy an sony we saw that was led. We arrived at Target to buy the sony but it was an lcd. talking to the salesman he explained you just got an bad one it happens. So we decided to try another led 37 vizio part number e370vp. Upon opening the box I notice it was different not the same design as the first one. I hooked up the T.V. and wow wow wow Great sound and same razor sharp picture.Stick with Vizio when buying an T.V. if you want good quality at an great price mine on sale 429.00.

Best TV I've owned!! Review by jimmy

So, I spent 6 months looking for a tv. Then I came across this one and accidently saw it laying in the corner at Target. Priced for $430.00.!! I picked it up.. Thought about it for about 30 minutes while people watched to see if I would put it down as it was the last one. I got it in the end. Brought it home and I cant stop watching it!!!
It's amazing picture. The sound is great. I actually have to turn it down a lot so not to disturb the neighbors in my apartment. The picture and colors are the best I've seen in a long time and that includes my friends $1,000.00 Sony he bought with internet apps on it. I love this TV. Thank you VIZIO!!!
