MUST BUY Review by im better than you

i bought this tv for my bedroom, leading me to get a cable box up there because of the great picture. i also have bose speaker so i dont use the tv speakers but they work good when i do use them. also the ease to use this tv. i love the price also

Excellent picture but I have to agree with others on the audio of this TV. Also, I can't get the closed caption feature to work, apparently, because of our ATT U-Verse cable box. We're not hard of hearing but use it on occasion as the dialogue sounds very muffled.

Horrible noise when changing inputs Review by MikeK

I just bought this TV last night.

The TV itself runs flawlessly - great picture and sound seems just fine. We have this TV in the bedroom.

The problem: if the DVD player ( hooked up via component) is not powered on, and we switch the input to the DVD player - the TV puts out a fairly loud, constant audio tone - like an alarm. This continuous tone keeps playing until it gets signal from the DVD player.

Any other TV I have had just puts out a blue screen and is silent if no signal is available, but this one seems to want to annoy the heck out of you. As you can well imagine - for a bedroom TV this is totally unacceptable.

nice picture unsure about audio and connection of audio to surround Review by shawn

just purchased it a few days ago nice picture but the sound isnt strong. I am concerned there is no additional output to connect audio to my existing stero system with aurround speakers! old tv 1999 had an output audio which I used to crank up dvds and baseball games and other action tv shows thru the stereo speakers to put you in the show or movie. two things Im researching ... is there really no further output for sound, how is a soundbar connected? via hdmi? but how much is a soundbar? dvd player not connected to stereo, how do you get more sound from this TV? watched first movie dvd and had it cranked up to 50 ish on tv sound level wasnt that great...

My First Flat Screen- Great TV and price - Lousy Audio Review by Natasha

This is my very first flat screen!!! The picture is beautiful. Even though I don't have HDMI with Dishnetwork as of yet.....I can only imagine what it will look like when I do get the HDMI with them.....However, I seem to be having the same problem as some others have mentioned which is with the audio. I have tried the various settings for sound, but none are satisfactory. The background music comes through so loud on shows that have background music or sounds, that the voices are overcome. Usually it sounds like the sound is coming from an empty tank. If there is "FIX" that can be sent to me for the audio problem, I certainly would love to be sent that.

Great picture but audio issues Review by VinnySea

I have the same problem as Joe from 9/8/11 in this review. My sound gets loud for a short period then the tv shuts off and my verizon fios box reboots. Also having other issues that could be related. I have been blaming fios for this issue but Joe has Directv so it appears this could be a Vizio issue. If there is a fix for this issue as Joe mentioned I would like to know also. Verizon Tech said it could be a compatibility issue or maybe a firmware update for this TV is needed. The HD could also be a problem using the HDMI cable. Might be related to compatibility issue. I hope Vizio can find a fix soon! Everything else about this TV is great!

Great picture, lousy audio Review by Joe

I have had this set for almost a year. The picture is very sharp and the colors are vivid. I have HDTV with Direct TV and the picture couldn't be better. There is a problem with the audio. I have tried the various settings for sound, but none are satisfactory. The background music comes through so loud on shows that have background music or sounds, that the voices are overcome. Usually it sounds like the sound is coming from an empty tank. Often, the sound will suddenly get very loud for about 20 seconds, then the TV will power off, then recycle on again and the sound will then be "normal". I have heard that a "sound bar" might bypass the audio quality problem, and I have been told that someone called VIZIO and was sent a "fix" for their audio problem. I would like to find out about that "fix".

Amazing TV Review by KyleRhone

I got this TV as a christmas present last year (2010). My dad got it on sale right after thanks giving. The picture quality is amazing. I use it for watching standard cable (which is no big deal) and playing my PS3, which also includes watching blu rays. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first started using this TV. sharp, crisp picture all the time. My only complaint is that is doesn't have an RCA audio output so I can't send the sound to my stereo shelf system

I did a ton of research before investing in my first LCD and I have to say that there wasn't anything out there that met the price point/quality that I was looking for. Amazing value for what you get.......

Once I hooked it up and turned it on, my jaw dropped and I was in awe. I have DirecTV HD and this TV works amazingly with it. I have never seen such detail and crispness in an LCD before. THE PICTURE QUALITY IS STUNNING!

Whats even better is how well this Vizio performed with my XBOX. I play video games a lot and this tv has taken it to a totally new level. The game quality is flawless and the refresh rate is nothing short of perfect.

The picture never blurs or lags whether I'm watching TV or playing XBOX. I am supremely happy with my purchase and will exclusively and only shop Vizio from now on.

I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TV! Yes I'm actually that happy with my new TV : )

i went and purchased this tv on 1/28/2011, AMAZING!!! I enjoy the picture, the sound and the tv was just a breeze to set up. I have it hanging on my wall and it looks better than the 26" I've had in my living room before. I was so impressed that i went out the next day and purchesed the 26" vizio led lcd tv for my bedroom and it to has an amazing picture. thanks vizio. GO BUY THIS TV.

Purchased this at an bargain price a few weeks back and was supper excited to hook it up. The 37" was cheaper then the 32", so I went with the larger size. Size does matter.

At first, I was disappointed with the pixelated picture. However, after consulting with the cable subscriber, exchanging for a HD cable box and HDMI cable... WOW! The HD channels are incredible. Radar has never looked better.

I highly recommend this LCD television.

A major online retailer had these featured before Christmas so I ordered one. Waited until Christmas day to hook it up. WOW! Works fine, great picture, easy to hook up the other devices. This is our second Vizio TV (the first was a 19" for the kitchen). Works fine on my simple antenna system. Setup was a breeze, worked it through each step and scanned for the channels etc. in less than 5 minutes. Would buy this brand again.

Absolutely beautiful and sharp picture Review by Ron

Using ATT Uverse with HDMI cable. Set Uverse to 720P instead of 1080i, adjusted a black item (black suit) on the tv screen with black edges (could use black construction paper) and I believe it to be as good as or better than any picture I saw displayed at a retail shop. I purchased HDMI cables from "mycablemart.com" and while saving a boatload of money, I got a crisp, beautiful color picture that the VIZIO tv is capable of delivering.

Amazing! Better than $1,500 Samsung! Review by liliceman77

I have a 55in lcd 1080p samsung downstairs in my living room that I bought last year for $1,500 and the picture quality doesn't even come close to this 37' Vizio I have in my bedroom. I just had to switch these around 37' now in living room 55' now im bedroom. The color is amazing. and for such small speakers the sound is amazing better than the built it ones on the samsung. The truSurround really makes it sound like a true surround system. Amazing tv! plus i love how it says Vizio when you turn it on and the vizio embeded light on the front of the TV. It makes it seem like some expensive tv that only rich people have, or thats what all my friends ask when they come over :P

Almost Perfect! Review by Killcycler

This is quite the amazing TV! Ive been known to buy cheap products and complain complain complain...but with this bad boy ive been nearly completely satisfied! Great Picture, Absolutely clear images, the speakers in the TV along with the TruSurround HD are both amazing!

However the one thing i found on this tv that is a minor con (and believe you me no backlight bleeding whatsoever or anything at all says a lot) is that for some reason the custom picture mode does not allow full customization on the VGA, or HDMI inputs. It only allows that on the Coaxial and Component inputs. What i would like to do is turn off Adaptive Luma on custom picture HDMI for my video games!

But if you asked me today if you should buy this TV id say HECK YEA!
