I purchased the Vizio E421VO yesterday to replace my 14 yr old Sony 36 inch Tube Tele.
WOW what a picture this Television has. And the sound is Amazing. The 36 inch I replaced weighed about 350 pounds.....almost died getting it in the bed of my truck by myself. This Television weighed 34 pounds....OMG. Boy have we come a long (weigh)
since then. Thanks Vizio...will recomend to all...and I will get the 55 inch 240 hz refresh for my Den next year. Hope this one last 14 yrs.....My sony 52 incher LCD in the den has lasted 10 yrs and 5 bulbs so far....next yr I will replace it with a new LED LCD Vizio.

73 Watts!!!!!!! Review by Art

For me this set replaced a 5 year old 46 inch Samsung that was notably power hungry when running 10 hours per day. Doing the math this set at 73 watts will pay for itself in less than 4 years plus the features run circles around the old Samsung that I paid over $2,000.00 for.

Our today purchase of 42 inch Vizio was spurred by disappointment with an Olevia purchased also from Target 4 years ago. The remote unable to mesh with Uverse, combined with a Chinese language web page when looking for help, made this leap to a new Vizio a real joy. We have two other Vizio's. Checking reviews, we went for this one when the sound failed on the Olevia [figured that out after 3 or 4 hours in last two days of trying to figure out sound problem--thank you Uverse techs for your patience]. So far I am surprised by picture quality of new Vizio, always resisting new technology by nature of my personality, but amazed by clarity, ease of set up, great price from Target... we are happy.

My parents bought 2 vizio's and i couldnt belive how good the picture was. I have a 42" LG 1080P and the vizio has just as good if not a little better picture, and the vizio looks smoother when things get moving fast even though there both suposedly 60Hz. All in all the vizio is a better TV than my LG for almost half the cost. I will definatly buy another vizio TV when the time comes. DONT OVER LOOK VIZIO JUST BECAUSE THERE CHEAPER!

I purchased my Vizio E421VO at WalMart for $478. Got it home and setup quite easily and quickly. Computer via RGA cable and 3.5mm male to male sound cable, game console via AV cables and VCR via coaxial cable. Picture was great and sound was great (nice and loud) but I noticed a couple of light spots in the right upper corner and lower left corner. Adjusted the picture but couldn't get the areas to disappear. I exchanged it the next day at WalMart, got it home and hooked up....
The 2nd time around I am a happy customer! The picture is absolutely wonderful and with a couple of easy adjustments you can set it up just the way you want it. I noticed the sound was much better than before so I can only assume the sound was also faulty on the first tv. Loud, clear, and fully adjustable with surround and volumizing features make this tv's sound one of a kind. This tv has turned all of my movies and video games into never before seen gems!!! Looking forward to getting a Hi Def DVD player to hook up via HDMI cables and eventually purchasing a home theater surround sound system with possibly a Vizio soundbar to fully complete my home theater experience. Overall an outstanding purchase and a great buy for my first flat panel tv!!!

I just currently purchased my second Vizio my first was a 42 and my second a 32 inch for my bedroom. I love Vizio brand and will continue to purchase them until I fell up my other two bedrooms. I am currently looking into buying more Vizio products. Their pictures are soooo clear and the sound is awesome too.

This is our second Vizio.The first was a 32 inch which has now been placed in a spare bedroom. We bought the 42 inch just before the Superbowl. The picture is awesome; the sound is good. No complaints at all. The TV meets our needs perfectly.

I just brought this 42" yesterday, an early birthday present for me from a son and wife. I had a one year old 37" and loved it, so that is why I brought the 42". Have the salesman try to sell me another brand of TV and I told him that he was wrong about the information that he was telling people about the picture on the Vizios. Yes, there was only one problem with the sound, but if you go in and changes on audio, you can get rid of the tinny sound. I brought the sound bar which really took care of the tinny sound. Will buy another Vizio for my son soon.

Gift bought for live in Mother-in-Law on 21 Nov 2011, installed yesterday 17 Dec 2011 after her room was fixed and carpet installed. Took minimal time to setup, use Vizio HDMI cable hookup to Cable Box. LOVE LOVE the picture and overal quality, crystal clear picture and perfect sound. Highly would recommend this HDTV model and size to anyone, price was excellent also. Oh by the way ~~~ Mother In Law just LOVES her new TV too!!!!!

This is my 1st flat screen TV. I did a lot of research and got this at Target right before Thanksgiving. The price was great and when I set it up with the HDM cable it was more than I could have expected out of a TV. I adjusted some of the settings and when I put it on Vivid I couldn't believe how clear the picture was. The sound is great, and all in all I am so happy I purchased this TV.

I love my new Vizio 42" screen tv and would buy another. My living room is 13 x 18 and this set definitely is larger enough for that area and the viewing is good.
If I had any issues with the set it's the way the sleep mode is set up on the remote. you have to go into the menu and set it to your sleep mode. Most remotes just have the sleep mode button available to you!

I just bought this tv on Thanksgiving Day; my 4 yr. old Samsung bit the dust. I ran up to my local Walmart, brought this home and hooked it up in less than a minute. (I use HDMI cables). The picture is crystal clear and has beautiful colors. I actually believe the picture is better than the $1700. Samsung, at a third of the price. No complaints here, I just hope it last longer than four years. Over all I think it's a great tv for the money.

Just bought this on Nov.21,11 and the picture is clear as can be ! The built in surround sound quallity is VERY , VERY LOUD and clear . Even when its on low volume .For someone who is hard of hearing , this would be a perfect tv for them . For a little over a 1000 sq. ft. house u dont want anything bigger . This is more than enough in size , now I"m glad I didnt buy the 46 " !!

Bought this at Wal-mart yesterday. After getting it set up, wasn't happy with the picture quality. Was about ready to return it and get something else when I decided to try a HDMI cable instead of using the coax out of my U-verse DVR box. It was like night & day the difference that made. Found the DVR box was set to 720i - changed it to 1020i and the picture got even better! I'm really blown away by the picture this thing has. I've never seen picture quailty like this before. Great set at a good price!

Bought this unit three days ago. Set up was so easy, but was shocked how great the picture quality was. Paid $379.00 for it at wal mart, which is about the same for a 32" Emerson three years ago.

My only concern is I cannot find the remote codes that work with the remote for my Directv HD satellite receiver. I would love to be able to use the Directv remote and have one remote control everything.

Still the picture gives the impression of being in a high definition movie theater.

I've always had LG lcd tv's so I was a bit hesitant to change brands, but I was completely satisfied as soon as I got the Vizio home and set up. My xbox 360 looks awesome on it and the TV doesn't have a bad stock sound system at all, will definitely recommend in the future!

I never had heard of Vizio before. I liked the clear bright picture and compactness/weight of the unit. I liked the price even better (even though that was not the reason I bought it). Installation was easy. The set-up was easy and clear. The menus are easy to follow and the picture is great. Woo Hoo......I love it.

I purchased mine at Walmart for $548.00. Easy Setup, Crisp clear picture and strong colors. Viewing range is also very very good compared to some of the other brands. Overall I have no complaints about my Vizio other than they should toss in a Popcorn maker and make it feel like a real Movie Theater! A Good buy at a Great Price, Buy a Vizio!!!!
