- This is Awesome, unbelieveable Great Picture Quality! Review by Music Man

Well, I was looking for a Sharp flatscreen because I've had great satifaction with regular tv 's. I had bought a month earlier 37" inch Vizio 1080p LCD, it was very clear, bright, sharp picture with great sound. I was shopping on Cyber monday, I seen this deal but turned it down. I said to myself buy it, then I said no, then yes, then no, this went on for 3 hours. I decided to get the tv even though it was refurished or recertified(had good, very good luck with recertified or refurished products and not afraid to buy them).
I got the XVT3D42S in 3days, I had shipped to my office( boy was I excited). I hooked the the tv up 2days later... I can't speak for everyone out there, however the 2D is breath taking, it so real & awesome in FullHD.... can't say enough about it. When I play a BlueRay it's almost 3D folks. I haven't watched 3D movie yet, sure looking forward to it(got to buy the glasses still). I just watched my favorite shows last night , both NCIS shows, it like I was right there with them.
The setup of the tv is easy... I have my dad, my sister, my aunt & uncle who has bigger flat screens than me by Vizio, well I have to finally agree with them that VIZIO makes a Great , Great Flatscreen TV's. I would recommend this tv for people to buy, this is from a customer that like Sharp, Vizio is a great product!! Thanks Vizio!(Posted on 12/14/11)
- a good TV to an excellent price Review by jder71

The TV is fantastic only thing I can complain is the time zone I can not when selecting Latin America and the three USB ports to wait to the enabled.
I recommend it to anyone no matter what the world is excellent regardless of the two details(Posted on 11/20/11)
- Awesome first decent TV I have owned Review by MrBill
-
I just recieved a refurbished unit and it looks near brand new. I dont even think the previous owners turned it on.
Picture Quality became incredible after turning that dimming mode off.
One thing , web site shows only 3 HDMI on back , mine has 4 and 1 more on side.
Is mine a newer revision?
My kids are watching Cars on Blu-Ray , it looks better then cinema(Posted on 11/5/11)

I had been searching for a normal tv that will fit my budget, reviewing over and over found this great tv that has Internet apps, wifi, a keypad under the regular remote, 3d, led which makes the picture look great and at the same time saves you energy...what else can I ask for?.... I have recommended this to almost all my family.... Now... Make sure you get the full hd 3d glasses so you can enjoy the tv ever better... Hope this works... Now I will go because I want to see my amazing tv.

wow,
Its wonderful.
I am longing to get this technology for years.
This makes all others look primitive.
And price is simple earth shattering.
This is the future & all TVs r going to be like this in future.
My advice : Go for global launch & Keep prices low ;
AND YOU WILL HAVE MONOPOLY
When can I buy this in India?

- Replacement TV Review by jjtmp

Well after a ton of reviews and homework and our main T,V, finally going to the electronic heavens, I came across this spectacular GEM from Vizio, I was originally going with just the 47" LED since I had heard all the so called negative comments about the 3D T.Vs but when I seen this at Costco and knowing Costco's return policy etc. I figured well lets give it a shot! not only am I completely surprise and in awe of this TV I can not believe the bad marks on the 3D's I can not speak for the other Brand 3D T.V's but I can tell you that the Vizio is just way way above anything I have seen. If you are seriously looking for a TV that is priced right and with the Vizio apps do your self a favor and pick one of these tv;s up , The other great thing is the setup this t.v and remote control was so easy to pretty much just point and click as it walked you through the items you were connecting and having everything including my Uverse box working with all the functions as the Uverse remote was incredible! never before have I been able to program an universal remote to work just as the originals do! even the $$ Harmony remotes that say they do it all! no need for anything else with this t.v. remote, VIZIO you are th tops!

Best picture I've seen on a set. Good sound for tv speakers. Remote w/ full qwerty keyboard is cool and easy to learn and use. Internet set up a breeze. Only difficulty havent been able to get remote to recognize ps3 so am still using sepetate remote for it. That is the only con.

- CLOSEST TO THEATERS YET...MAYBE BETTER... Review by 3d co-conspirator

Ok so my boyfriend was obsessed with narrowing down all specs, accessories, ratios, lighting, quality, picture, and everything else before 3d launch and as soon as it did of course i was the one involved in all the eliminating aspecs of the process with him so i started getting into it...And after all the purchasing and returning we have got our complete action pack movie experience in our home.... we purchased the 42" vizio and after a couple of trial an errors on the 3d bluray player we now have the samsung 3d blu ray player with the vizio 3d hdmi 240hz cable and the 2 pairs of vizio active shutter...
Let me just say at first i was like too expensive whats the big difference ect. but now that i have actually experienced a 3d full1080p bluray movie i dont think tv or movies will ever be the same...i have seen my bloody valentine 3d, under the sea3d, and 2-3d conversions-pirahna and alice and wonderland. the real-d 3-d's are better then the conversions by farfar. but anyways i thought i would share my review maybe for the people who doubt what they are thinking of purchasing or to total confirm that this tv should be owned by everyone!(Posted on 2/14/11)
- Vizio 3D LED LCD Review by DK

I'm very satisfied with this TV I bought it 3 days ago and it has the sharpest picture I have ever seen in a TV. Only concern is when i browse the Internet apps the white screen in the back continuously dims and dims out. It would be nice if the 3D tvs would come with the glasses. Have to spent extra money to buy glasses. Also I didn't find an app for the YouTube. Other then that I'm enjoying my new tv.

- No Regrets Review by Bev

The Vizio 42" LED Razor is my first Vizio purchase. It was easy to set up and the picture is just as perfect as it was in the store I purchased. No after purchase remorse for me. I also purchased the Vizio Blue Ray DVD player to compliment the T.V. It was also easy to install and played beautifully on the new TV. My only complaint at this point is that I am having problems finding the DVD remote code to set up with my DISH network.

- Not convinced yet Review by Pete

I've been a Samsung HDTV owner for the last 5 years with DLP and LCD sets. I also own an inexpensive Panasonic 37 in LCD. I was looking for a replacement for a 46in Samsung DLP and was really attracted to Vizio's Internet Apps, the front loaded speakers (Panasonic's are rear facing) and the 480HZ 3D capabilities that I may someday use.
I brought home the set 4 days ago. Setup was as simple of both wireless connection and the other devices. I hooked up a DirecTV DVR, a Sony DVD player and an HTPC via HDMI cables. The internet apps are fantastic and easy to setup and use and the mutli-function universal remove with slideout keyboard is cheap feeling, but brilliant in design and works really well. Sound is great as well.
That's the good, now the bad. My biggest issue is the lack of consistent color and clarity on the screen. I had to play around with settings for several hours to get the color close to the near perfect color. I ended up dragging the cheap Panasonic set next to the Vizio to calibrate it. I also noticed that the screen flickered many times and sound would drop out for a second or two ever 10 mins for no apparent reason.
I asked friends for advice and went out and bought a more expensive, higher speed HDMI cable to connect the DirecTV DVR to the set.
I'm hoping this does the trick. I am really hoping that this Vizio will be as fantastic as it sounded when I bought it and I look forward to updating this review when I've had a chance to use it for a few more days.
