Took me forever to review and search for a laptop, then I found the Vizio CN15-A5. And my search was over. Laptop is so nice looking, boots up in less then 10 secs. runs all my programs with ease, I even use it to play Starcraft 2 and World of Warcraft with out any hiccups. The 1080p screen is bright and beautiful! keep it up vizio!!

Vizio CN15-A5 15.6" laptop
Initial Impressions:
My CN15-A5 arrived encased in a high-end, well-sealed (on all four sides) box.
Inside box: Laptop w/charger (rather large), power cord, quick-glance user manual
This laptop feels lighter than I had anticipated. Minimalist appearance. Aluminum casing. Rubberized coating over aluminum on bottom of laptop. Nice looking machine! Lid easier to open than previous generation. One-hand does the job. (Hint: Lift lid from corners not middle.)
Quick boot time!
Easy set up.
Keyboard is OUTSTANDING! Very comfortable. Great job, Vizio! You LISTENED to your consumer base!
Touch pad very responsive.
1080 ips display: matte screen, STUNNING from every angle! Colors pop! Clarity is excellent. I repeat: STUNNING! You WILL love this screen! (Thumbs up, Vizio!) High def (1080) videos are DAZZLING!
Windows 8 setup, fast/user friendly.
Web browsing: Instantaneous. No lag! Wow!
Speakers: loud, but tinny sounding (Vizio, are you listening?). Did a YouTube bass test: really no bass detected.
Laptop runs silently. Fan runs quietly. No heat detected on/near keyboard or anywhere.
Minimal bloatware.
Photo editing: Wow! What a difference in processing speed compared to my 4-year-old Toshiba Satellite! Instantaneous from one application to the next! The 1080ips screen allows me to zoom in and manipulate the slightest imperfections on RAW data with accuracy/ease. I can immediately detect tack sharp photos from the rest. I did so much research/in-store testing, to locate the perfect photo editing specs, and the clarity of the Vizio 1080ips coupled with its zippy quad core processor is on par or exceeds the high-enders (including Asus, MacBook Pro, Samsung, Sony, & Lenovo).
Battery Life: Battery life was a major flaw/complaint with first-generation Thin & Light users and one of the primary reasons why Vizio's intro into the laptop market wasn't competitive. After 3 days of use, with some YouTubing and general web searching, battery life continues to be not so great: approx. 4-4 1/2 hours on a full charge. Tips on increasing battery life would certainly be appreciated.
No backlit keyboard. Am not understanding why...
