- Some Issues need to be worked out Review by Bill

I purchased this sound bar to go with the Brand New Vizio 65" M650VSE. The instructions are very deceptive because they mention an array of means of connection compatability to the TV but this particular TV doesn't offer some of the component connections that the sound bar offers. Also, they dont leave much room to fit the Optical Cable means of connection to the Sound Bar and the TV. I actually had to return a GE Brand of optical cable and go to Best Buy and bought the Rocket Fish brand which had a slimmer plug allowing more room for connection. It also offers a single Digital cable connection from the back of the sound bar but the TV offers no Digital sound input. The TV also doesn't offer RCA Jacks Red & White for Stereo for connection to the Analog input offered on the back of the sound bar. Basically what I am saying is you have an Analog input like the type used for earphones on the back of the Sound bar and an Optical Input on the back of the Sound bar which after having tried both found the Optical to offer up superior sound compared to the Analog. Optical cable will cost you another $20.00 to $30.00 depending on the brand and length of the cable. I used a 4' cable with good results.
Another thing that conflicts with this TV and Sound Bar is if you choose to use the provided TV Stand instead of hanging the TV on the wall you will not be able to set the Sound Bar on the provided attached feet and put it directly in front of the TV because the Sound Bar will interfear with the Infra Red function of the TV's Remote Control area. I ended up removing the feet from it which is an option to hang this Sound Bar on the wall should you choose to hang the TV and choose to hang the Sound Bar under it. After removing the feet I went to Home Depot and bought a roll of Heavy Duty Industrial Velcro and used it to attach the Sound Bar on top of the TV dead center. It looks as though it belongs there and the Velcro has more than enough strength to hold the Sound Bar. No more interfearance with the Remote Control.
I hope that this Review was of help because I would have welcomed it had I had the option. Happy Holidays.(Posted on 12/15/12)
