I can't get Amazon or Hulu, two favorite apps otherwise I would love this. I am going to get another player and give this to a friend because I want. Sad because the player is really easy and nice to use.

Today I turned on the player and today they finally have an update to the player adding blockbuster to the apps and updating the netflix app to include the search feature. I am glad an update was finally made available for download and the it is a fast update and installs fast. I am very happy with this player.

- Great Products! but....... Review by TechGeek

In the last two years I have purchased two Vizio Flat screen T.V.s and two Vizio BluRay players. The quality of these items are quite good and you would be hard pressed to find a better deal on a T.V. or BluRay player from any of Vizios competitors. I purchased a VBR210 and a VBR231 Bluray player about a year ago. They are both great products, BUT...........the VBR210 has not had one update to its software since the purchase of it nearly a year ago. The VBR231, on the other hand has had several updates since its purchase. The updates have changed the way that you can view Netflix (enabled the search feature and changed page layout) and today there was an update that allows one to view blockbuster titles directly from your player. I'll say it again, these are great products but you might want to think twice about the VBR210 until Vizio decides to have available updates.

This is my first blu-ray and I love it! I purchased it at Target on clearance (30%) and it works great!
The only problems I've come across is setting up the Wi-Fi and lines showing up when trying to use Netflix. Whenever I tried to watch a movie on netflix, it would prompt me to enter my password for the router. No easy save button/option. I ended up connecting it directly to my router. The lines showing up during movies was easily fixed by unplugging the unit and waiting for 15-20 sec before trying it again. Problems solved!
Great picture! VERY happy with the purchase!!(Posted on 6/19/11)

This was my first blu-ray player and I could not be happier. I bought this at Target and asked the salesperson if there were any returns on this player. He said he has one himself and swears by it. It was a great price and has all the features the brand names have for half the price.

I had to take back the Samsung Blu Ray player because the Netflix hung up, stuttered and became unresponive. By contrast the Vizio works flawlessly. Plus bvuilt in WiFi that cost ectra on Samsung! My only complaint is that the Samsung had Search capability on the Netflix menu. I don't find that feature on the Vizio Netflix interface.

I bought my vizio blu-ray player to go with my vizio 32in tv that my brother got me for my birthday. I love it...I like being able to watch netflix whenever I want. alot of great movies.
I haven't figured out facebook yet though. Pandora's great. The only trouble I have is with the remote. the buttons are hard for me to push. I at first thought it was because of my MS but then I learned others were having issues too. I hope vizio will come out with one that may be eaiser for people disabilities and others to use. I would recomend Vizio products to anyone who wants products that work.(Posted on 4/5/11)

Bought nealy nine month ago, works great, have a 36 LCD wall mounted, color is amazing with this product. Pandora, Nexflix, VUDU works superb. Sometimes remote control did not power on my system, need to power manually. Few times found green screen when inserting disk and or watching VUDU movies. Solving by unplug power from Blu Ray, wait 15 seconds and plug back again. It reboot the system, no more problems.
I recommend this product.(Posted on 3/19/11)

Besides the price, the built in wireless adapter makes this player worthwhile purchase. I purchased another BR player from a different mfg. with the advertisement indicating a number of features that comes with the player, however when I got home and installed the other BR to my dismay I needed additional adapters to complete the installation. What a waste of money. Needless to say I returned the other adapter and am now looking a purchasing another Vizio BR for my other room.

I had brought a Magnavox 5130 for the built in wi-fi and it sucked, couldn't get it to work at all. took it back and picked up this one (since I have a TV from vizio and it works great) and It hooked up to my network in a minute. was able to get into all the apps with out a problem. So far this machine is A-. I gave it a minus because the remote it a tad but hard on the fingers but I could live with that

I purchased this Blu-ray player after returning two Samsung Blu-ray players, and couldn't be happier.
Good:
The wireless works extremely well for the Internet apps. The quality of streamed movies is amazing--I can't even tell the HD movies are being streamed.
The DVD and Blu-ray playback is everything you'd expect. It handles standard DVDs fine, and doesn't freeze (which is the reason I returned the Samsung player).
Many people mention the remote being hard to use. I agree the buttons press hard, but don't mind it now that I'm use to it.
Bad:
Every once in a while the wifi does not initialize when the player turns on. Rebooting resolves the issue. I'm hoping a future firmware update will fix it permanently.
The Internet apps don't yet include Hulu Plus, even though Vizio has announced upcoming support. I hope they remain true to that announcement for all of their Blu-ray models.
I highly recommend this player.(Posted on 1/15/11)

The Built in WIFI in this and any other Blu Ray player is worth $80, compared to one without that feature. It will cost you at least another $80 to buy a wifi adapter. It cost me $5 more to buy this model over a Sony one that didn't have the wifi built in.
I had a problem getting sound using the Netflix app, but I searched the web, and finally found a solution. I was using the 1080p TV resolution, and when I set it back to 720p, the sound automagically appeared. The web solution I found said they had to set theirs back to 480p, but it was a different brand than this.
You have to point the remote directly at the VIZIO player to get it to work. Once you figure that out, things make a lot more sense as to why it takes a couple times of pushing buttons on the remote to get it to work.
There is no slo motion forward or reverse option. I use this a lot when watching Football videos, so if you're a coach, this isn't the product for you. I haven't checked out any other Blu Ray players, so maybe all of them are this way.
There is a "step by step" forward option, but you have to keep pushing down the button, which only goes one frame at a time.
It does have extremely good options for forward and reverse "fast motion".
I had a problem with the TV screen turning green, and somewhat pixelated after using the Blu Ray. I resolved that issue by upgrading my standard HDMI cable to one that cost about $35, with gold plated connectors. I had a friend tell me that all HDMI cables are not created equal. Even if your HDMI cable works for your cable box to your TV, that does not neccesarily mean that it will work for your Blu Ray Player.
Now that I am watching Sooby Doo with sound on Netlix, with my son, I would buy this product again. I am thinking about buying one for each of my TV's so that I can watch movies in any room.
If they ever give the Blu Ray player the capability of slow motion in forward (and reverse), they will have an awesome product.(Posted on 1/3/11)
- Excellent Value Review by Stacy

Got this Blue Ray Player from Target. I compared it to Sony and Samsung, but felt this was the best value due to the internal wireless card. No need to buy a separate wireless adapter to connect it to the network. The picture quality is great and the user interface is super easy.
Highly recommend!

Purchased this blue ray player on 12/2/10, easy set up about 10 mins and I was on the internet useing the apps, netflicks is the best value for movies flat fee unlimited and no buffering problems, vudu is ok but to many buffering delays durning movie. Wish I could figure out how to post to facebook but can't seem to find out how. DVD's play very well and the blue ray is stunning even on a projection tv, can't wait until I get a LCD/LED Tv to see a really true blue ray experiance.................Can't go wrong with this product!!!!!!!!!!! get it you'll love it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good - This one has best features for the money, great value. The included internet apps and wireless wi-fi build-in were easy to use and hook up. I found many more expensive brands that did not even have wi-fi build in. Pictures look great
Bad - the remote has to be press hard sometime and point directly to operate.(Posted on 12/11/10)
- So far, so good Review by Tim

Just bought it and set it up tonight. Setup the wireless connection within minutes to Netflix and just got done watching a movie (but I am a I.T. guy by profession so this stuff is "routine" for me). The remote buttons seem like they could have been designed a bit better for my large fingers though. Popped in a DVD really quick, just to make sure it was working and it started up nice and quick, looked good. Will give it a good workout this weekend.

This player's built in wireless adapter is what makes it soooo worth it. You will spend well over $250 dollars if you purchase a blu ray player and USB wireless adapter. I did my shopping and this unit is by far the best buy on the web as of today.

I purchased this to go with my new vizio 42 inch hd lcd tv and I'm glad I did it is really great first it provided a great picture and sound even from standard DVDs which it upscales to 1080p but the real beauty of this machine are the built in apps for netflix, vudu, pandora which work right out of the box with very little setup required there's even a face book app this united can be connected either wirelessly or wired to a switch port which is how i choose to get maximum bandwidth although i just ordered a dual band wireless app and then I'll try the wireless connection which is N only think all in all its a great device and the broadband connectivity makes it perfect the buttons on the remote sometimes require hard presses to activate but i can live with that for such a great product otherwise, i give it two thumbs up there is a model down from this but i believe it has no wireless connectivity
